If you’re nice to them, they’ll be nice to you. There’s not much more to it.

Worst service you can receive keep in mind no parking and extremely crowded

It was great experience and I dreaded it so much over the week seeing such low ratings. I walked in 9 am Fri. There was no line. I missed one paperwork but they gave me an option to fax it to them which was super awesome. Last time in Alexandria DMV, they just turned me away. Had a lot of paperwork for title registration. Was out in 30 mins. Parking is not FREE, did paid parking around the block - Van meter one.

Since your license is expired, you will have to be tested to get a Virginia license.
My driving license is expiring soon. How I can renew it through online? Please guide.
I had an appointment yesterday on the 25th. I took the test to get my liscense and failed one traffic sign. So yes you definitely have to make an appointment.
Anytime they close at 5pm
8am-5pm Monday-Friday, 8am-12pm Saturday. Check website (www.dmvnow.com) for holiday closings.
I'm fairly sure you need to take the photo there, unless you're going in for a passport in which case you can bring it in
I believe they ask for an appointment for everything. I was there two days ago and they are asking at the door if you have an appointment. And there is a sign on the door that appointment is required
Yes you can. Also depends on the type of service. https://www.dmv.virginia.gov
I Wanna Say Every Time I Went I Parked On The Back Of The Street Right In Front Of The YMCA. There Is Free Parking There For Limited Time Like An Hour Or So.
Yes, for everything you have to make appointments
If you have an appointment than you can get your Real ID. If not than you have to make an appointment.
The Virginia DMV handles drivers licenses. For copies of birth certificates look at https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/vital-records/
Yes
No, they dont accept walk-ins, as I saw one person tried while I was waiting to get in for my appointment. They said to try other dmv near courthouse
I guess you can do that. Go to the website and look for the service you are looking for. If it allows you to schedule an appointment, sure you can!
No. Appointment only. You can make online appointment via DMV site. Though the appointment times seem full for near future.

Not open to the public yet
I don't think so. You can call before you go. Last time the map showed it's opening, but it's not.
A couple of reasons. 1.If you are 75 or older, you must renew in person, they changed the rule in 2015. 2. If you want the "Real ID" driver license you must apply in person because all the documents (original not copies) you must submit they scan to DMV Headquarters. If you want a standard license, or when it comes time to renew "Real ID" you can do it on line at www.dmvnow.com. AS OF 3/18/20 ALL DMV'S ARE CLOSED UNTIL 4/2/20. Check www.dmvnow.com for more details.
Yes. Make sure you have all the correct documents: Birth Certificate or Passport. Social Security Card or W2 or 1099. Two proofs of your address, a Utility Bill, or Bank Statement ect. (if you have a current driver licence that can also be used) for Primary, any piece of mail with your Name and Address can be used as Secondary. All documents must be Original not Copies or Electronic.

Yes.
You will need proof of address for Virginia in order to get your VA license and register your car.
Go to DMV website interactive review section. Worked for me. You'll ace the written test. 😊
If you are calling the "804" number that is the office in Richmond they can connect you to any DMV office. Do not wait between calls, call, busy, hang up, call, until the phone rings. Don't call, wait, call.

There is paid parking ($5/hr). Enter the alley between the Malatang restaurant Giant. Go down a bit, enter the the left entrance. You can park in any of the retail parking spaces on the P1 level.
Silver/ orange line. Virginia square is the stop. Then about a 3-5 minute walk.
You can get a copy by accessing your online account at dmvnow.com or going into any of the service centers (use the express lane), or if you visit a dmv select (usually near the courthouses) there is usually little to no wait time.
Yes! Doors close at noon ( but if you were in before that, you get to stay in line; just no new customers after noon).
Yeah but I'm not sure you can teke it
I haven't seen anything official but would expect them to be closed in line with Virginia state holidays.
You could get pulled over if police sees you don't have stickers. So yes.

No
I was told that the morning from around 10 - 11:30 was least busy, but I had to wait 2 hours and it was on a date when everyone seemed to out if town on vacation, so..
No, you don't. Some insurance companies, however will require a VA license. Progressive does not.
Yes you can. I recommend checking with the website or calling before going in. They can tell you what documentation you will need to bring.
You can get a duplicate. Go on the Virginia DMV website to find out what papers you need to bring with you.
Yes you can. It will require you to have certain documents. What you will need to bring with you can be found online. Just google dmv.va
Bring the form thatvwas sent to you in the mail.
Yes. Any full service dmv should have the forms. The dmv express in Clarendon is not full service, this one is.
Yes the hours posted online are correct
Yes they do. I did on saturday
Yes. That's where I renewed mine. Go first thing in the morning and it should be quick.
Yes. Pickup the form here. It needs to be signed by a medical authority and then taken back to the dmv and they will issue your placard.
To my knowledge, testing is done throughout the day. However, testing tickets stop being issued 1/2 hour before closing.
Yes
It' s a full service location so you should be able to do that. You might not be able to get it the same day. They may have to mail it to you. You can also request a copy online. Just go to the DMV website.
