Great Venue. Service even better!!!

Wonderful venue- small enough to see your favorite artist and very fair ticket pricing (I think). The acoustics sound great, not distorted. You can order decent food and drinks at your table and enjoy the show. I just won't bother with large venue's anymore due to never being able to sit close enough to even see the artist or band performing! So The Birchmere is one of those venues where I will always choose over a stadium.

My absolute favorite venue to experience a concert, along with great food and service. Very intimate setting and awesome sound no matter who is performing.

It's all gen admission but everybody gets a seat. If you show up 10 minutes before a sold out show your group will surely get broken up but great sound everywhere and good sight lines. If you want the best seats you have to get there early ave queue yup, but they hand out tickets and you go in by your ticket order so no scrambles. Very organized
Parking is plenty for the size of the venue. Building is surrounded by parking lot. No charge.
Be aware that The Birchmere ONLY uses Ticketmaster so if you end up on any other website you may be paying more than list price, tickets can be bought online at Ticketmaster or in person at the box office any night there is a show, the box office is open show nights between 5 and 9pm. If you purchase from the box office there is a service charge but it is less than Ticketmaster's.
There are no reservations. The earlier you line up and get your assigned number, the earlier you get in to chose your seating. Doors open at 5p. For the most popular shows, we are there by 3:30p.
The seated Music Hall where most of our shows are holds 500, the Flex Stage which is all standing holds 1000. There are currently no shows scheduled for the Flex Stage although we just had 2. If a show is scheduled in there it will be clearly advertised as "In The Flex Stage."

He has the flu. They are hoping to reschedule for later this Year.
Tonight's show has been POSTPONED due to Artist illness. We are actively seeking to reschedule, so please hold on to your tickets for a bit, while Robin gets better and we figure out the new date.
Yes, just have the barcode. Works from the phone also, that's how we did it.
It is not required to purchase anything other than a ticket to the show.
5:30 for most shows and if crowded you want to get there around them as most shows are GA and the best tables go fast.
Come to the box office for clarification.
We went at around 5:00... and got good seats. I think that if you get there as they start serving food. You will be fine 🙂
I doubt it, it's nowhere near us
Yes, all shows are all ages, tickets are required no matter what age.
No, we've actually been open for 4 months or so. We normally hold 500 in the Music Hall but we are limiting entry to 200 during the pandemic, masks are required unless actually seated and eating and we sanitize constantly.
On The Birchmere FAQ Page there is a list of nearby hotels https://www.birchmere.com/about-us/
No, refunds are only if a show is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed (usually only if cancelled but as you know things are a bit weird at the moment). Your best bet is to sell your ticket.
There is always a chance 👍
Doors open at 6-6:30pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. Depending on if there is an opener, the show usually goes until 9:30pm to 10pm
It's not open today, the box office is open 5pm to 9pm but only on days that there is a show. There's no show today Sunday 1-5-20
Yes these answers are correct - there is a place to wait inside
I only am aware of General Admission. You should contact the venue for special requests.
VIP Packages are run by the artist's people, you'll need to ask them when you arrive, sometimes they just take your phone and take it for you, sometimes they have a camera and take it and send it to you.
I don't think so, not within walking distance. You can Google it to be sure or call the venue. Have fun, it's a great place to see a concert. It's a bit cozy as they really pack you in. If you don't have a reserved table, get there EARLY!!!
I don't think so. Did you check the Metro map fro a bus route?
Ask the office at Birchmere would seem to be the way to go.
Just connect with the them via Google.
Post in the event on Facebook
Mostly people "you've heard of"...if you're over 50. I've seen Herb Alpert, Judy Collins, etc.
Both Dave and Priya are correct. In addition, there is not a bad seat in the place.
They normally open at 5 pm for most shows afrer which the conceet begins after 7 pm.
Make sure you are on the Birchmere website when you buy them on-line. I always indicate to pick them up at Will Call on performance date.
At Birchmere.com under the FAQ is a list
He's not on the schedule right now but it's usually around Mother's Day
It's not possible
There are a couple on Richmond highway that are good
Noball shows are all ages . Children must be accompanied by a adult.
Every show at the Birchmere is Box Office and Bar doors open at 5pm, Music Hall doors open at 6pm and 1st act on at 7:30pm
Doors open at 5pm everyday, food serves at 6pm and shows start at 7:30pm.
You can request a band or singer that will let you dance in the hall. It has happened before and people lived it.
Yes, if a show is canceled it will be posted on our website and Facebook asap. The way weather issues are usually addressed are if the band makes it the show happens.
The bar is outside the stage area, and i don't think they play the show on TVs out there, so no. You can order drinks at your table, alone with food.
Ok! Try "Blues Alley" & see their weekend line up. There are several lounges in "Adams Morgan" that play jazz. I hope this was helpful.
Call 1-800-the-box-office!
No, dinner is separate. To me the prices are moderate. I usually get the fried catfish dinner. The drinks are pretty good also.
There is no age limit.
If you get there early you can sit within 5 feet from the stage in the concert hall/dining room.
Doors open at 5. You are brought in for dinner at 6
Yes you may. Just be aware that we are not responsible for anything. The neighborhood can have issues at night. If you we ask that you park in the back as it's really the only area with room. Enjoy the show! :-)
