Visiting DC from Marietta, Georgia PaperMill Ward, this was truly an amazing feeling and experience! I couldn't stop crying from the moment I stepped on the property. God's presence was there, greatly! Being there for proxy baptisms, meeting sweet, beautiful people was thrilling. I'm tearing up just typing this. Now, l can't wait to see Detroit's Temple, when l visit there.

Beautiful experience returning to the temple.. A beautiful exterior plus of beautiful renovated interior. Yeah I particularly like the new mural on the wall as you enter the main temple.

There will be a “drive through only” Festival of Lights this year from Dec. 11-28th from 6-9 pm each evening. Please see dctemplelights.churchofjesuschrist.org for details, maps and answers to frequently asked questions. Thank you, The Missionaries
There are currently no updates on the rededication of the Temple or the Visitors' Center reopening :(
Yes there open until 8p.m.
It will definitely be open Christmas Day. Go see the Christmas program, the lights, and the beautiful Christis. Or go check out all the nativity scene.
Yes. They have the festival of lights going on now, with concerts inside
There is no charge; tickets are generally distributed in advance of performances so that people don't have to wait in line while waiting to get in. Instead, they can look around the visitor center, which is sort of like a small museum itself.
The Temple is for LDS members in good standing who have a current Temple Recommend. Temples are open to the herbal public during open houses for new temples and during reopenings after renovations. The DC Temple will hold one in two years. It is currently closed to everyone (members alike) after th r remodel is finished.
Moved to the Stake Center.
