Three Chopt West Apartments

SLUM LORDS! On the seventh day of being in my apartment (not even two weeks) my AC wall unit caught on fire due to Three Chopt West’s faulty mechanical unit. The fire department had to come to put the flames out. When I expressed feeling unsafe in the unit and wanting to terminate my lease I was told by the leasing department that I would still be responsible for the rent until they could find someone to lease the unit. I was told that a replacement unit would be provided once the office reopened during the week. However, I had to track down the maintenance team and the leasing department to get a timeframe of when the new unit would be installed. I am still waiting on the installation because now it’s a matter of parts. I was provided a portable AC unit only for the living room but the portable unit’s air does not reach into the bedroom. This means I feel like I am suffocating while sleeping in the summer heat. (The site has still not offered to move me to a new unit since they will not terminate my lease.) The inventory list that I turned in within five days of moving into the apartment, has still not had any of the issues looked at besides the urgent issues I had to put service requests in for due to the lack of urgency from the leasing office. Pest control is not provided before moving into the apartment, so expect to at least 6 to 10 roaches before even cooking your first meal or buying any groceries. As an individual who has only lived here for 10 days I highly recommend moving to a trailer park, the projects, anywhere else instead.

Very awesome staff. Priscilla, Juanita I cannot thank you guys enough for all the hard work and moral support given while trying to get this townhouse for my kids and I. Since I have moved in I have had zero problems with returning calls, checking on us, properly identifying the correct tenant, fixing things in the house ect. I highly recommend to anyone looking to be in a safe area and great schools. If you can afford it, it's an ideal stepping stone 👌🏽

Apartments are not kept up for the amount rent they keep increasing to I have referred people but until it gets better, I won't again. ☹️ Thing is when I came 11 years ago they were better kept!!!! Sorry!!!!

Family First

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever been through. I took off of work to drive to the apartment complex in order to receive more information. Juanita told me that they did have an apartment and quoted me a price then told me to return the next day with the application fee and hold fee. When I returned as instructed she was not there. I dealt with Priscilla. Priscilla was very judgemental as well as Juanita. They judged me being a single mother and African American. I watch Priscilla speak so sweet and eloquently to the Caucasian lady returning her keys. I was nothing but professional and respectful to these ladies. I will write every HOME organization about this community. I paid my money and they never ran my application because they had no intention to. I asked for my money back and they tried to hold the application fee in which I objected. They gave me all of my money back because they knew that they were wrong. This is why people get discouraged. It be your own people. SMH
