I mean they obviously have some interesting documents to check out of major historical significance, but all things consider the interior beyond the rotunda is pretty blasé and feels like a run of the mill government building like a county courthouse or older dmv. They could definitely afford to invest in making the atmosphere a bit more inviting and interesting. The documents themselves were quite crowded and the writing itself so faded that you can't really read then anyways. It was neat and I would recommend it still just temper any expectations.

The rotunda stores the original Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence. The rest of the archives and exhibits are great. A few sections was closed when we visited so I feel like we had an incomplete visit.

If you ever want to feel the power of the word - this is the place for it. The Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence are arguably some of the best examples of how words can change the world.

Just take the metro, the parking cost is very expensive. In fact there is little need for a car in this city.

There are parking garages in the area, but nothing on site. Street parking is available, but with road construction it is a hit or miss situation.
