Went here for an interview (math tutor) 10/6 that was scheduled two weeks prior with Linda Prescott via a 3rd party (government agency, Donti McField), confirmed via email. I arrived only to be vehemently told by the receptionist who was speaking with Linda Prescott I wasn't scheduled with Linda Prescott. This went on for about 10 minutes with the receptionist on the phone with Linda Prescott, I decide "let me get out of here." Then a guy started asking me to stay, while Linda Prescott is conveying by the receptionist she's unable to see me she's in a meeting. I've never worked for an NGO, what I experienced yesterday is why. Outside of NGOs not having the salary range for professionals while filled with an abundance of unprofessionals. UPO's lobby at this location wasn't welcoming. It was dingy, dark and overall questionable with respect to cleanliness. Don't know what UPO's policy is on vaccines, but NOT ONE person I encountered had on a mask.

I feel like most of these reviews are either from employees or those clients who are bribed with gift cards to write positive reviews (FYI this is a very common malpractice among dc-based organizations). My experience with UPO is very horrible. The staffs are very rude, disrespectful, unresponsive, and unprofessional, especially those at the Benning road center who are in charge of running the Federal Government funded COVID programs called CARES. They act like they're helping you out of their paycheck, not taxpayers' dollars.
