Small, but, open spaced. Beautifully decorated in it's cultural heritage. Friendly waitress. Recommended the chicken stew to me as a 1st time visitor. Which I (in my mind) expected to be wowed with spices and flavors, felt that it was a good chicken soup made from scratch. You know, home-style, which is the best way to make. I did enjoy, though. 1st time having plantains which where tasty with a squeeze-bottle condiment that came with. The mango juice was very concentrated, sweet and delicious. All-in-all, I had to pack every thing to go, even the juice. We had the $10.00 lunch menu and our bill was under $35.00 for 2 people. And we both had to ask for to-go boxes.☺️ I might have to give them another try and choose something, else.

We went in and waited just a little long in my opinion but the drinks, food and staff were just great. Our food was delicious, loved the music and their birthday song for customers is on point. This was my first time at a Puerto Rican restaurant and I would go back anytime. There was plenty of food we took some home. We had a pork dish and a seafood plate. Unfortunately I forgot to take the plates presentation they were very gorgeous. I would recommend it to anyone who likes good vibes and good food.

The food is absolutely tasty and authentic, well worth the price! Very nice Historical events on the wall.

People brag about this place so I stopped by the Newport News location. It's extremely high priced IMO for food that isn't even seasoned like they season it in PR. I personally found the food a little bland. The rice was dry. I would eat here again only for the stuffed potato balls things. Those were good. I wanted my money back honestly but there wasn't anything technically wrong with the food so such is life. The People who work there were nice. The owner seemed slightly over bearing. The soda from India was delish. Not a place I would recommend to others thou honesty. U should probably go to PR if u want authentic PR food.

The food is ok but Da Rican Chef in Va Beach is better and taste more like Puerto rican food. No disrespect but maybe the cooks need some training from the Va Beach cooks. I ate at the Newport News restaurant once but I rather continue going to Va. Beach.
Service sucks!!! Really bad. They take forever to even come to your table, but the food is good
