Was inside once. Very cool. Spent much time outside learning to ride a unicycle. Pass by several times each week. Wonderful setting for large gatherings. At night, color changing lights illuminate the top.

Excellent mausoleum of General Grant and his wife. It is worth going to see it, it is free, and very careful. The environment is very peaceful. Recommended 100x100.

Beautiful location. Always wanted to visit. Make sure to check the hours in advance. Hours listed here were different than the sign posted on the building.

Yes u believe there's a ramp. There's an attendant there who can assist
I think he was always referred to as "General." Even as president. Instead of Mr.

Who is burried in Grants tomb ?
You could map the following address: 500 Riverside dr, ny, ny. It belongs to Sakura park and it's across the street from Grant's Memorial. Hope this helps.
No clue sorry I guess in the seventies it was done agian no clue
William Grace, the mayor of NYC at the time of President Grant's passing, sent a telegraph to his wife Julia with in hours of his death offering to have both Grant and his wife buried in NYC. Grant's only wish was that he be buried next to his wife. Julia accepted Grace's offer and Grace then set out to raise funding for the national monument. President Grant was living in NY the last four years of his life. West Point was considered by Grant as a final resting place but his wife would not be allowed to be buried there with him. A few other cities were considered but Grant's family decided that NYC was the most prominent and Riverside Park wad a high point in elevation, higher then Central Park so that is why they chose that location as the final resting spot. While not originally a National Park Service site, NPS is now in charge of Grant's Monument.
Who's buried in Grant's Tomb? I've been dying to know that for many years.
