Wonderful place. Great food & drinks. The ambience was also fantastic. We stopped by for bar appetizers & drinks. This place is enthralling. Will definitely return for a full on dinner experience. Definitely recommend.

Terrible service. The hostess was rude and unpleasant.
Vincent the actual restaurant does not have parking since it's inside central park, however, you will have access to numerous ICON parking in the area among others.
I wish to cancel today's reservation outdoors at six for four. There is no way I can do it online and I couldn't get through on the phone.

I will be having dinner on Sat., Oct. 1, 2022. Will live music still be playing and will it be indoors (in the bar) or outdoors (in the patio)? What hours?

Call the establishment.
What is proper attire for ladies at dinner? I will be dining indoors in the fall. Is a Cashmere sweater OK? A silk blouse? What about yoga pants or do I need to wear a ladies pants suit? What kind of shoes?

I had Breakfast but I think you should get dressed up.
We were there Easter Sunday at lunchtime, had a 10 minute wait in a queue, but we were still able to get a table inside and have bar meals. Bar meals there were what many pubs in Britain would call specials. They were special and large. Most people had booked in advance. Impressed by the level of dressing up to attend.
We will be visiting New York from the UK w/c 27th of december 2021. Please can you tell me ?,when we will be able to reserve a table on your website for new years eve .
Kind regards
Julie
Hi Apoorva,
Thank you for your message and interest in Tavern on the Green. We are very excited to welcome our guests back and are looking to reopen July 1 (subject to change) for outdoor dining and take out, weather dependent. We will have options for contactless ordering and payment both for takeout via our website and via QR codes at the tables. We will be updating our information on our website www.tavernonthegreen.com
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Warm Regards,
Heather

They have outdoor seating. Not much of a dress code. Saw young patrons in shorts and t-shirts. I wear pants and a jacket. Old school dress up for a night out with my wife, friends or family.
My friend had a delish vegetarian plate last time we were there. It was not on the menu, she asked for something vegetarian and the chef whipped something up for her.
if outside seating is open weather permitting ..its probably ok
I'd like a table for 15 for dinner. I've had to enquire through the events team as I can only book for 8 on open table. I've been told I have to pay a premium seat upgrade or the group will be sat separately. Has anyone had the same experience?

Julianne remember that Google is your friend. Robert Moses was the first owner after he redesign the building to be a restaurant
Hi Matt. We do not have any on-site parking unfortunately, but you can absolutely drive up at the 67th Street entrance right to our front awning and walk your Mom in and then go to park the car. We recommend the GGMC at Central Park West and 66th Street and validate $5 off.
We were there two weeks ago for lunch and it was excellent with reasonable prices. We were promptly seated and waited upon. Wide selection of items. We had four different food items at our table and all were outstanding. ENJOY!
Hi Stephen! Thanks for your question. We do allow ADA Compliant Service dogs in the restaurant and outdoor courtyard but, unfortunately, non ADA service dogs are not allowed in any of our ala carte dining areas.
We DO however have a great To Go window with adjoining terrace seating where pets are welcome. The window serves grab and go items perfect to snack in the park...everything from muffins and bagels for breakfast to lunch sandwiches and salads. Additionally, we have a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage selections. Its a great way to enjoy Tavern and Central Park with your furry friend!
We were just there two weeks ago. We went to concierge at our hotel and asked him to make reservations. He said it is usually a couple of months but had no trouble getting us in on the day we wanted. The next day we found that we had a schedule conflict so we had concierge call back and change reservations from afternoon to late morning of the same day, which was done with no difficulty. Following the restaurant renovation reservations are much easier to obtain. There is far more seating and bar seating is open just as everywhere else. You shouldn't have any difficulty unless size of party is over four people.

I visited on a Friday and everyone was dressed in business attire because they had just gotten off of work or were there for a late lunch. It appeared most everyone was meeting someone. My wife and I were dressed in casual attire but they treated us like visiting royalty regardless of how we looked. My suggestion would be to wear what you like and be yourself. Regardless of how you dress you'll have a good time and a great meal! I highly recommend visiting this tavern.
