I have never seen such a mess in the health care industry before. The lack of communication between Care 1st and the third party authorization department Turning Point, is unbelievable. They do not have their members health and well being on the top of there list. They spend way to much time passing the buck between them. The supervisors I have spoken with, have failed at there job. I have spent to much valuable time baby sitting an authorization that should have been a cut and dry situation. Now 3 weeks out, it has still not been approved or denied. Ridiculous! These entities really need a major overhaul.

Absolute nightmare insurance, the negative reviews are real stay away. Been waiting for them to approve a simple MRI for months now, they also wont let me get one single prescription for eye drops. Total joke.

Behavioral health is the same as mental health....
Ask your primary care physician of he or she is in the Kingman area. Or call Care 1st customer service.
To enroll in Care1st, you have to be enrolled in AHCCCS. Care1st cant disenroll you from AHCCCS for any reason. Doctor's may refuse to treat you because of marajuana use but Care1st (or any AHCCCS plan) can't do anything about that.
Ahcccs plans do not cover infertility treatment
Care1st is a Medicare and Medicaid contractor. CMS (Medicare) and the state of Arizona (Medicaid) determine whom is eligible. Unfortunately if CMS and or Arizona determine that you are not eligible, you will not be unable to continue coverage through Care1st.
Only your pcp can do it. I've been struggling to get mine
We have our contract with Sonora Quest. There are many Sonora Quest locations. You can Google them or you may also call member services for assistance.
Ask your pcp or call the behavior health number on the back of your insurance card
