Been waiting 4 months on my daughter’s social security number. They said they sent it out a few weeks after my daughters birth but did not receive it. So waited awhile and called back and did the application and been waiting a whole month again and still have not gotten anything yet but yet they mailed back the proof of identity. I’ve been calling constantly for weeks now and even today and can not get anyone to answer the phone. This is a freaking joke and ridiculous.

When you call they help as much as they can but the ones pushing your papers take forever ive been fighting to get my check back for 5 months it's ridiculous how long it's taking.ive filled out at least a houndred paper and two of them was to reinstate my check and still no check.

Write out a letter with her new information. Include her SSN and have her sign it and then send to local office. SSA does not use Power of Attorney. If necessary you can apply to be her representative payee by going to office.
