First I want to say thank you for serving our country. You can get in touch with the housing authority. They should help homeless vets. Also check with your local V.A. place they should be able to help also. Also check with your local food stamp office. They can help with food stamps and refer you to social security to help with ssi benefits. Those are all the places I can suggest to you. I pray that you get help with what you need. Go to hud resource locator. Housing authorities in the area are not accepting new applicants and the waiting list is about 7 years long. Section 8 waiting list opens in March. Salvation army is only taking families with children. Call 211 or go to the 211 website.

They have been kind of slow since everything closed because of Covid. But keep trying. We haven't been able to go in for appts.
