if you expect any level of professional hospitality, don't hold your breath. Firstly, the lady who checked us in forgot to hand me a paper to apply to the post which led to an old man harassing my wife. When attempting to get the paper from their office we were told we misplaced it, they implied we were liars when I said I hadn't gotten a second piece of paper (40 minutes prior), the lady raised her voice at us (two very obvious adults) and then proceeded to throw a weird hissy fit. At one point I exclaimed "Jesus Christ" out of frustration and then the old lady from earlier said "I gave them both slips, should we just kick them out?!" I mean she admitted not only that I was 1. A paying customer, but also 2, already checked into the campsite. I mean the mental bounds there ... They made an entirely unecessary dramatic situation over a small piece of paper. All on my son's birthday too so don't expect nice, and if you get it then be appreciative I guess. I mean I won't be going back. Pros: clean, close to the lake, flat, bathrooms, large and small campsites. Close to amenities and food. Cons: cold summer winds, fridgid temps at night. No showers, for the high cost to camp there you would think they would get some showers. Camp was dead silent at 10pm (this may be a pro to a lot of people but not me, not on a holiday weekend.) Proximity to the highway and all it's night time noise.

It's a complete joy to spend time here! Beautiful sandy beaches with lots of space, crystal clear Tahoe waters and incredible views of the Sierras. Well kept clean beaches with easy parking during the week and convenient restroom facilities. This is now our go to beach whenever we're in Lake Tahoe.

When we got there, the beach was closed, but you were still allowed to walk down the trail and play in the sand and cool, clear, water. You can bring your dogs too. Just keep in mind that when it's closed, the bathrooms are not open.

Very nice beach for watching the sunset. Lots of great sand, can be a little on the windy side but fine for sunbathing. Staff for campground registration was super friendly and hoped me out even though I didn't have a reservation. Helpful tip... They have three campsites for drive ups but they don't release them until 5pm. Bathrooms where clean, campground was clean and it seems the guests here are respectful and quite.

Depending on traffic and how many lights you hit, between 5 and 10 minutes. The entrance is 2.5 miles from Stateline.
As of June 2020, they do not. They used to have two first come first served sites but they got rid of those in 2019. Now all sites are reserved through Recreation.gov
If u don't have reservations ur not camping at Nevada Beach
Yes. $10 per car. It usually reaches capacity early in the day this time of year
Yes there is camping, nice clean beach for your dogs! Animal friendly!!
Not at this beach. A couple minutes up the road in any direction and there is.
I am not aware of any discounts.
Yes for hookups but unsure if they are open late fall.
Yes, and shaded tables if you want to bring your own. Get there early.
Nothing is there for rent. It's a private beach but it can be accessed by the public, so you can't really rent anything. We bought out own cycles, but the place is very beautiful!!
Yes there are water faucets around the campground. In addition, you can fill up in the town before entering the campground.
Not open in the winter but you can park just outside the gate and walk in and enjoy the beach
Not sure about Wi-Fi... Probably would be best to give him a call. But everyone definitely had service! Everyone was on their phone.....
It's not open for camping at the moment. Check their website for seasonal opening dates.
The entire lake is a free sight of sorts. The beaches are all closed for parking until probably memorial Day, so some require a bit of a trot to get to the beach.
Oh course not only dogs cats, caws sheeps and more.
Hi. If you were not able to order campsite today, try tomorrow again any available campsite. Just remember you have to bid it exactly at 7 a.m. PST. And usually 6 month in advance.
Go to recreation.gov for site availability.
Yes, if you reserve a camp site you could sleep if your car or in a tent or under the stars.
No, Nevada Beach is by reservation
No
Yes, there is a big rv campground.
You can book sites six months before the scheduled reservation.
Yes you can visit and swim. The parking for day use is $10 per car. If you park outside the campground on the street it's free. You then just walk down to the beach. There's a separate section for dogs as well, but they are not on leashes once you get there.
They have walk up or online options via reserve america
I don't see why you can't. They have huge, double grills as well. It's a lovely place to be.
Absolutely not. It's more than $10 a day if you plan on camping.
Dates will not be released more the 6 months before. Ex July 4 was released Jan. 4
Rec.gov. on line. Probably too late already. Sorry
Your biggest issue will be parking. There is a fee to park in the parking lot at Nevada Beach but it fills up quickly. There is free overflow parking along the street though. There are multiple ways to get to the beach so, aside from that parking fee [if there's room in the lot], I don't believe there is a fee to access the beach. [I was camping when I visited so there were no additional fees and I don't think they're set up to take walk in fees from individuals.] If you want to bring your dog, you can go further down the beach where there is a designated dog area. The gazebo that was mentioned has a fee attached if you wanted to book it exclusively for a personal event so I don't think that's going to be of interest to a simple day use visit. Have fun. I believe the fee to park was $10 [or it was $10 if you have the Senior Citizen National Forrest Membership which gets you half off but I'm pretty sure that discount let members in for $5].
I don't think so there's no reservetion
We only were there for the day. 7$ for the whole day per car load
Yes, & it is correct, a license for either state is valid for Lake Tahoe. If you want to catch a nice size fish, an inflated nightcrawler or live minnow will produce a larger size fish ( especially if you use minnows). :-{D
"Go early" is an understatement.
Dogs are allowed at the dog beach by the camping area and the boat ramp. Turn left after paying the fee at the booth and follow the paw prints painted on the pavement to find the dog beach.
You'll probably need to be in line when they open for a parking space.
It is $35 a night however I believe they are booked up. There are lots of campgrounds in the Reno area you might still be able to book though.
The South end of the beach, and certain campsites are designated for dogs. The dog beach at the campground is VERY good. Most dogs have been friendly we we have been there. The State beach has a labeled path (with paw prints) to take you to the dog beach. If you ask nicely, the staff is nice about directing you to the proper areas.
