I’ve never left a google review before but felt the need to acknowledge how great of an experience I had. I was encouraged from my PCP to go to Wills Eye ER after two weeks of blurred vision and black spots. I saw a local ophthalmologist who diagnosed me with a pretty severe issue that I didn’t feel comfortable with accepting. My PCP said Wills Eye is the best and to head there. Wow. I am so thankful that two different doctors at Wills Eye confirmed the original ophthalmologist misdiagnosed me. Not only that, the staff was so supportive, helpful, FRIENDLY, and informative. Nurses were great, receptionists were warm and welcoming, and doctors were insightful and patient. Was I in and out of there in 2 hours? No. But they were great with trying to get me in and out of there even with requiring an MRI. I would take actual answers to an issue than a quick discharge anytime. Thanks again to this team of people!

Now wills eye is awesome but there ER does not deserve even one star. My daughter waited for over 5 hrs plus with red eyes throbbing pain headache as well blurred vision and they said thats not serious ok like wow they also charge you a copay before they see you why would you pay for service that wasn’t provided to you. What a waste of time and Er. AS WELL THE STAFF WAS VERY RUDE

This is the worst experience I ever had at anywhere

I was there all day but got a very thorough examination of my eye issue. The staff treated me like I was the only person there and tried to update me often. Wills emergency is top tier.

Not exactly. Anybody you see here is a graduate of an accredited Med School and is trained in their area. The only "students" here are Resident Physicians and Fellows. Those are also doctors. These are doctors going through additional training for a specific specialty or area (for example, Pediatric Ophthalmology or Oncology Ophthalmology). Depending on what type of eye appointment you need, you may see a Resident or Fellow Physician but the statement that they are people who "doesnt know anything" is false to the highest extent. Wills Eye supplies some of the top doctors in this field in the world. For reference here is a link describing their Training program being voted #1 in the U.S. . https://www.willseye.org/wills-eye-residency-program-voted-1/
