Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton, an IHG Hotel

The primary reason I booked here was because I was attending an event nearby that ended only at 12 am and this was the closest hotel from the location. It cost $124 including taxes for a night for a regular room. For that price, I have had far comfier hotel stays in cities like San Francisco. Worse, breakfast was not complimentary. I did order pancakes from the hotel's breakfast inn ($9) and they were served pretty quick.

The staff was nice, but the hallways and buildings were old and over scented. I feel that the over-scenting in the elevators and halls must be covering something. The first room we were assigned to was a king that we had reserved. The room was creepy with pull down shades that could barely be opened or repositioned up. The window covering over that was a plantation shade that one could not opened. It was like being in a basement with no windows, we were moved to a different room which was better since the shades could be repositioned (sort of). Neither room was what I usually expect with a Holiday Inn Express.
