La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Los Banos

I have never had an experience with a hotel like the one I had tonight with La Quinta Inn in Los Banos, CA. Earlier today I called and made reservations for two of my employees to stay there for two nights. I gave them my credit card info over the phone and was told that the charges for the room would not be able to be refunded if canceled due to the same day purchase. I was also told that the guys would only need their state id to get into the room. The woman was helpful and I received a confirmation of the charges for the two nights in my email. Tonight when my employees tried to check in they were told that they need to pay or have a credit card authorization form from their employer. Once I spoke with Cathy (the evening hotel staffer) we realized that the bill had not been paid and that now at 8:30pm she is asking for a card authorization form 9with all my card info and personal info) a photo of my ID, and a photo of my credit card. I have never had to send photos of ID or Credit card over email for a hotel reservation before and felt uneasy about this. when I expressed my concern to Cathy she responded with "we can cancel your reservations for you". Of course this time of night that's not really an option when My guys have worked a full day and need a place to stay for the night. I asked Cathy for her name. She was reluctant but gave it to me. When I asked for her last name she refused to give it to me. This is after I just send off all my personal and credit card info to her. I don't think I'll use La Quinta for a nights stay ever again and I would never recommend anyone to this hotel also!

Positive: I love the room that we were given it was right at the top of the stairs it had two beds and a nice big couch. There was also a separate area with a sink and a bathroom with a sink which is really helpful with a Family. We were really close to the pool. Negative: If I was to change anything it would be that the hot tub was not hot it was lukewarm. Also the breakfast could be improved there was some sort of meat dish and then sausage patties my family would¿ve liked eggs as well.

Nice hotel for small city of Los Banos. The staff is friendly and location is good as well. Rooms are average with side ACs next to the windows and rooms don’t have central AC. Neighborhood has a lot of fast food options as well.
