Do NOT send your kids here...PLEASEEE The doctors overmedicate and the nurses seclude kids for minor misbehaviors. If you don't want to get stuck doing AMA do not go here to begin with!!!!

Gave me trauma. Pleaded for my life back and freedom. They just want the $$$. Their malpractice and abuse dates back WAY longer then you think under different name and ownership.

My son is currently in here for treatment. Unless you curse them out, call them 100+ times to only be answered a total of 4 times in the course of 4 days they won’t do anything. I got transferred back to the adolescent side and a lady named Debbie answered, was extremely rude, condescending and disrespectful then hung up on me all because I asked “I was wondering why my son didn’t get to call me this evening” mind you this is after he reported Mr. Johnson for punching him in the neck (which I still haven’t heard back about the supposed investigation going on) this is now the next day and my son yet again has not been allowed to call me. I have talked with a supervisor more time than I can count about these issue all in which Lynn assured me they would be taken care of when in fact they have not. The fact that I can’t reach anyone about my 6 year old is ridiculous, what’s even more ridiculous is the fact that my son was punched in the neck by an adult and they refuse to do anything about it. I’m sick to my stomach that this is going on.

I got a call from this hospital. Never been there or know anyone who has. Was really confused when they called me and they were rude when I asked them why they called my number.

I couldn’t agree more. Despite Millwood, I am alive and well today. My time at Millwood was pure hell. The psych drugs put people in mental straightjackets. Instead of offering comfort and encouragement, they tear people down. This hospital should be closed.
Please email me about your story. This place is fill of negligence and malpractice.
I can see your frustration and agree to an extent. We've come a long way in history because back then it wasn't facility to help it was asylums and there was no escape.
Can't bring in any outside products, you have to call for specifics.
The Millwood staff were actually very kind and gentle with my father when my Dad was there in December. He was in the geriatric unit.
yes. males in one room. females in separate room. same unit /hallway though.
I don't know if they had them in the past. But as of 2022 there are NO in-hospital visits. but they are supposed to have some kind of zoom meeting setup. I wasn't there long enough to see it being done, but it was in my hospital admitance folder.
The days depend on the unit. Kids have different days than adults. And everyone on Sat n Sun but at different times. Best bet is to get ID number for patient from whomever has it, call Millwood, and ask. They want pts to get visited and will be more than happy to tell you as long as you have the pt id for security purposes and hipaa.
It all depends on what unit you are in. So call facility they'll let you know.

its basically group therapy. they teach you different coping skills and there is about an hour worth of "processing" time where you get to talk. But you have to share that time with others. You sit in a room and talk. Take a break. Do an activity. Take a break. Learn a skill. Take a break/eat lunch. And learn another skill or do something recreational. 3 or 5 days a week. Depending on your needs/insurance.
yes. there are 3-4 "fresh air" breaks throughout the day in an outside area that is fenced in. You can smoke in some of that area, the other area is for non smokers.
They have legal narcotics also. For the illegal ones I had to sneak in myself. Maybe I should have drank more of the "filtered" water for a better experience. I hope this helps your situation.
All I can say is that the discharge process takes much longer than necessary. For example, I was a voluntary admission (I chose to go). By their own rules they are supposed to release you within 4 hours of saying you want to go. The only way they can hold you longer is if you have signs of being a threat to self or others (which I wasn't). They gave me a 24 hour hold unecessarily. And once the doctor did give the release (8am) I wasn't let out the doors till nearly 4pm. I didn't realize until afterwards that they held me without cause. When I asked about the 4 hours, they said "the doctor has 4 hours to respond". No, the patient rights says 4 hours to be RELEASED. So yeah, it took less than 30 minutes to get me admitted. But the discharge was a bit of a headache. I would've complained, but I didn't want them to interpret my anger and impatience as something "dangerous" and hold me longer. I can only imagine how long it takes for a non voluntary patient to be discharged.
Your chances of interviewing a patient are good here, if you're a student. Talk to the social service's director.
Millwood hospital is an extremely dangerous place. They will not get away with the horrors they have caused me. And so many more I have heard from. They will have to answer.
Call and ask them to transfer you to the adult unit. And ask to talk to him. If that doesn't help ask to talk to a manager or supervisor.
There are different days and times for visitation on certain units. So you have to ask the patient what unit they are on to get the correct day/time. There are a total of 8 units, ranging from pediatrics, adults and geriatrics.
They have several different units to treat kids age 6 and up and a geriatric unit for elderly patients

I think u cold have your contacts if you have a doctor otder and about the ants they in courage all resident's not to eat in the tooms so may be if you seen some. You should have let maintains no so they can give you new room or fix the problem they go out the wey to provide a healthy and safe place for every one sorry to here about your experience
Am sorry we do not. We do hire CNAs
All depending on how the "doc" thinks you're doing with the "treatment". I was there for 2 weeks and hated every moment of it. If you really care for the one you're trying to put in there, don't.
Pray to God your brother can keep hold of his sanity until then. My parents called the cops on order to get me out, but did no good. I hope your brother can get out soon
You will regret working here. Unless You're OK seeing kids get mistreated and neglected then go for it...
It's not a good place for anyone. They are awful and I even called my insurance companies to tell about my experience there. I was held against my will and was threatened that they would send me to a state hospital in Wichita Falls if I tried to check myself out. They put me on a locked coed floor and we had to leave our doors open at all times. Men were walking into our room in the middle of the night looking for cigarettes or money to steal. The staff did not keep a good watch at night and the doctors prescribed the wrong meds for my sleep. They automatically put me on Ambien. I took Trazodone for sleep and depression. The first night there, they had to change my room because of bed bugs. I would never send a loved one there. This was several years ago. I hope they have gotten their act together by now.
Yes. One the patient is admitted, they will receive a patient ID number. The patient will have to call you first to give you the patient ID number. When you call to speak to the patient, you must provide Millwood the patient’s name as well as the ID number.
