It's not a good place for anyone. They are awful and I even called my insurance companies to tell about my experience there. I was held against my will and was threatened that they would send me to a state hospital in Wichita Falls if I tried to check myself out. They put me on a locked coed floor and we had to leave our doors open at all times. Men were walking into our room in the middle of the night looking for cigarettes or money to steal. The staff did not keep a good watch at night and the doctors prescribed the wrong meds for my sleep. They automatically put me on Ambien. I took Trazodone for sleep and depression. The first night there, they had to change my room because of bed bugs. I would never send a loved one there. This was several years ago. I hope they have gotten their act together by now.

No, not at all. The people that work there do not care about the patients or the family. My sister was mortified when she had to stay there. Constant screaming and crying.

I went there when I was 13, and 6 years later, I still hate the thought of it. They weren't nice people, they threatened to put you in rooms with crazy people if you were bad. I definitely don't recommend it. The call times are only about 5 minutes each. They don't care if you miss your family, and they try to keep you there longer than needed.
