Beautiful natural landscape featuring nearly every local variety of trees founding the Black Hills I bet. Sandstone bluffs containing odd crystalline formations about the creek. Nice place to walk, talk, and experience nature.

I've been hiking this trail for about 8 years and in all 4 seasons. It is a wonderful trail. I'm now 62 years young and am able to go from the trail head all the way to Dalton lake and back.

Great family hike. It is an out and back with plenty of beautiful views. We enjoy stopping on the boulders to enjoy the creek and some quiet. The slow incline on the way out is easy enough for kids. The downhill hike back helps tired legs. I enjoy the rock formations you see on the trail. There is a parking lot at the trailhead.
