This is so beautiful! The campsites are right near the the beach!

This location is seemingly the less popular place to go looking for Petoskey stones, but that’s why it’s worth going just a bit farther out of the way to visit. Here you’ll find it’s less picked over. What a beautiful site, though.

I don't believe they do, but the Krist gas station isn't far at all.
Right now, sure to high water levels, the main public access beach is not accessable. There are a couple day parking area still available.
Yes it's a rustic campground no plug ins or anything but if you can get a water site it's amazing!
If the pull through sites on the lake are available, they're gorgeous. My husband wasn't a fan of the noise from the waves, it was really active while we were there, but I would book again. We had 32. If you do get a pull through in the lake, bring all leveling gear you have.
No showers. Very few amenities.... But the water, sand, view, clean air, quiet, Petoskey stone hunting, etc far make up for it
Fisherman's Island is a totally rustic park. No hook up sites there.

The park is open year-round but the roads and pathways are not maintained or cleared of snow in the winter.
Yes. Check the campsite description though to see if your size trailer fits the lot.
About an hours drive, approximately 50 miles.
Reservations for camping are definitely recommended. The sites fill up fast. If you just want to go down for the day, you pay at the gate.
You can stay in your SUV or sleep on the ground, in a hammock, whatever works for you
Negative....any of our amazing State Parks are the same!!
Yes, but book way ahead. This is a primitive park.
Easy Jordan Tourist Park and Camp Ground. Nothing in Charlevoix, unfortunately.
You need a recreation passport, which you can get if you are a Michigan resident when you renew your license plate, or you can purchase at the park entrance.
The Massasauga or "swamp" rattler is very shy. They tend to flee when humans are in the area. They will bite if threatened or stepped on. I have only seen two in Michigan and both were in swampy environments. I hike, fish, camp, canoe and have been all over the state for many years.
