I can't say enough good things about this place. This isn't your stereotypical pet impound. They love animals here and take good care of them. I adopted my boy Bubba and love him to pieces already. So glad to see animals cared for in this way!

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. My daughter found the perfect dog for her.

Extremely disappointed with this shelter. They are extremely choosy with who they accept to adopt the animals that they have based on their own personal opinion. I think they believe they are doing what is best for the animals, but am unsure how they can be confident in that as they are a kill shelter. Will not go back to this shelter. Our family is extremely disappointed and quite frankly disgusted by their behavior.

The Oklahoma city animal shelter has dozens of small dogs for adoption. When I adopted my dog 3 weeks ago the Edmond animal shelter didn't have any small dogs. You can also look online at http://ok-edmond2.civicplus.com/884/View-Available-Dogs
You have a picture? Sorry no.
Yes
Simple go up there and set your animal in the cage they have outside. Then go inside and they'll be able to take care of you from there
If they don't take donations, many City shelters don't, you can contact a non profit rescue near you and those will accept donations
Call first thing Monday morning. They are fed and comfortable all weekend.
Not entirely sure ask again later
You can actually call them and they will assist..very good people to help.
That's for a private company live critter removal specialist. Look under pest control pest removal because it may not be a squirrel and municipalities do not cover property liability should the critter require advanced extraction techniques
They have 8 that will be available this Friday.
It's akot of money. I am starting up a kitten resuce. You drop off here.
Yes, no problem give them a call first.
The 2 times I've been there I didnt see any birds of any kind. I'm sure they could direct you to a sanctuary Aviary.....
There will be puppies available at the end of next week. Follow the shelter Facebook page for updates.
Yes they do, if they have room
They do.
Yes just go the web site and apply or call tgem
All animals have a $25 adoption fee
I'm not sure, you'd have to call. They are only able to accept owner surrenders from within the Edmond City Limits.
First, it matters where you live and how long you have had him. You can surrender him to the shelter that has jurisdiction where you live, usually for a small fee.
Sorry to hear about YOUR dog.... But, I don't think so... Mainly an adoption place....
He would have to go to the appropriate shelter where your mother in law lives. Has she tried a rescue?
A minimum of 18 years old but you cannot be a felon or have any offenses which include violence.
They have a facebook page. Edmond Animal Services Government. This is where they posted about the vaccine clinic. It is today May 12th from 12pm-4pm. Dogs must be on leashes and cats must be in a carrier.
Technically Nicki told me that unless you're willing to adopt THAT DAY you cannot interact with the animals. It seems very strange that I needed to be adopting to interact..... Like what if I actually want to know the cat before I just make that commitment?? This place has GREAT staff and a great facility BUT have a complete trash manager.
It is 50.00 for all 4. 3 vaccines and chipping or 15.00 for rabies 10.00, 15.00 and 20.00 for chipping. It is from noon to 4pm.
They give plenty of time for an animal to adjust to the new environment. Then they do an assessment. If it's adoptable (most are) then it is put in the adoption/foster system and is never removed until adopted. No time limits.
Not right now
Notify the shelter. Talk to them
