Make sure to use Hoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This web site will compare hundreds of hotel sites and usually will have prices much cheaper than others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the highest rated in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you choose this place you definitely won't regret it. I lived across from the resort for many years. Never went there. I visited for a dance competition. I'm going to come back again. The golf courses look awesome. The pool is nice. I met a lot of out of towners. They all liked the place. Did is good. There's many great restaurants in walking distance.

In general the customer service has not been good. I come on vacation to relax and this has been anything but that. Resort is too big. Not enough staff and not the friendliest of staff. Food not the greatest. Service not the greatest. Too many people. I could go on and on but go somewhere else in Scottsdale. Try the Camelback!

Beautiful resort close to Kierland Commons shopping and fine dining.

Hands down the best experience I've had at any Marriott properties. Being a Titanium status then went over and beyond. Check in was easy and the accommodations they gave us was excellent. Great food for dinner and the weekend breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff was very nice from the front desk, Del, to many more to the restaurants and outside bar at the lazy river. We will becoming back throughout the year.

Yes, the bagpipes are played every evening at 6pm overlooking the beautiful golf course.
At lazy River .Once it's paid for it's all free.
The Westin complex: hotel, spa, villas, golf course have most amenities any world class resort offers. Check with the hotel / villas to make sure you are getting what you want.
Yes they do I believe a friend of mine parked his car hauler out there.
Yes,...
I didn't see any self service laundry areas the few times Ive been here. Its pretty upscale so I imagine they only offer the laundry service.

Guaranteed check in is at 4p and check out is at 11a. You can always come earlier though and they might have a room ready earlier or you can just hang out by the pool. You can also ask for a later check out time.
They implemented parking gates a few months ago. Valet is tip based during the day and $31 for overnight (they usually start "overnight" charging around 10p-1030p). If you are self parking there's a fee for 0-10 hours of $6 and 10+ hours or overnight parking is $14/day. But if you are only dining or getting a spa service, they validate.
For groups, i would suggest using the shuttle service as it would be cheaper per person. For individuals or families coming on vacation, i would consider UBER first.
I swam in the lap pool and it was heated plus there was a hot tub near the lap pool.
Uber/Lyft/rentacar All depends on how your feeling If your feeling sluggish then you might want to take a Uber or Lyft and call it a night explore the next day If you're feeling adventurous then rent the car and explore
Just took an uber into hotel. The hotel is a little, put off by at hotel uber pickups and request you stand away from the main entrance and wait by the spa entrance. The only negative about my experience, however I didn't take it to heart and hope the hotel changes their position in the future. 108...too hot to wait out in the open.
