Words cannot describe the excitement and joy my 9 year old daughter experienced here!! I have tried it on a cruise before, but being here doesn't compare!! Such an amazing way to spend the time woth family, and a great alternative to jumping out of an airplane!

An overall great experience, however a few small kinks. I had a group of 10 flyers and had purchased the an exclusive birthday package, which was good for up to 12 people, and 24 shareable flights. This was stated on the website, and the woman who checked us in at the front desk also confirmed that we would have 24 shareable flights that we would be able to split amongst the group however we saw fit. However when we met our instructor he told us that each person would only be getting 2 flights each, which totaled 20 flights. I approached the instructor separately and informed him that we are supposed to be slotted 24 shareable flights, but he again told me that we were only getting 2 flights per person. In my opinion we should have then been compensated for the 4 flights we would not be getting since I did technically pay for them….also the previous day when I had called to inform them that 7 people would like to do a ‘high flight’ (an additional $20/person), I was charged $190 instead of $140. At first I thought maybe it could have been surcharges and taxes added on so I did not question it. But when we arrived the following day, another person from my group asked to do a ‘high flight’, and they were charged 19.99. So as far as pricing and information on the website, as well as information received from the workers helping to book these flights, I feel a bit deceived and mislead. Also they did not tell us that if you are over 260lbs that you would be unable to participate in the high flight, and I had one person in my group who ran into that issue, and he did pay for the high flight, which was not refunded, even though he couldn’t participate. Overall the experience was still fun for our whole group, and if we lived closer I’m sure a lot of us would come back again. However again I am a bit disappointed with the misinformation provided by the staff.

I took some shots of this newer location. We would always go to Westchester my son was level 3 a few years ago. I wonder if they have the kids program available at this location? We stopped training due to fraud and financial abuse it’s sad what happens when Judges and Lawyers don’t follow the laws. It’s not the good parent or innocent spouse that suffers it the kids that suffer the most. They stole this dream from my son. NYS is so corrupt.

My Fiancé took me to here for me 30th birthday and We both had such a great time! All of the instructors are incredibly skilled in the wind tunnel and really make you feel comfortable flying in. We both bought tickets to return for 10 more flights and can’t wait to go back!

Who can fly with iFLY indoor skydiving?

iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 12, 2021
iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 13, 2021

We welcome flyers from 3 to 103. If you have reasonable health and fitness you can fly. But do check the criteria below before you book. We’ll do everything we can to help you fly because our goal is to deliver the dream of flight to everyone! There are a few exceptions: Flyers must be over 3 years of age or older. Participants must weigh less than 300lbs. Women who are pregnant should not fly. Anyone with a hard cast is not permitted to fly. Individuals with recent back, neck, and heart problems should check with a doctor before flying. iFLY recommends people with prior shoulder dislocations DO NOT FLY! If you have any concerns or questions about whether or not you can fly, contact your local iFLY. Everyone who flys must complete a Flight Waiver, which contains further details.

How long is a flight?

iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 12, 2021
iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 13, 2021

Each flight within the wind tunnel lasts 60 seconds and each package includes a minimum of two 60-second flights (turns in the tunnel). However, total flight length depends on the package that you choose. When jumping out of an airplane, the free fall portion lasts approx. 45 seconds. If you reserve a package that contains 4 flights, you will have 4 turns in the wind tunnel with an instructor lasting 60 seconds each. Some of our packages include double-length flights which lasts double the time at a reduced cost. The entire iFLY first-time flyer experience takes approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes from start to finish.

What is a wind tunnel?

iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 12, 2021
iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 13, 2021

Very simply, a wind tunnel is a machine that moves a lot of air. A vertical wind tunnel, which is what we use at iFLY, moves air in a vertical column at speeds high enough to keep a person safely floating.

How does it work?

iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 12, 2021
iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 13, 2021

A vertical wind tunnel has fans at the top of the building to draw air through the flight chamber and then push it back down the sides through Return Air Towers. That leads to an inlet contractor that compresses & speeds up the air before it reenters the flight chamber. The result: a smooth column of air that enables you to fly.

What is indoor skydiving?

iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 12, 2021

Competitive indoor skydiving, also known as Bodyflight, shares many of the disciplines of competitive skydiving, such as formation skydiving and freestyle skydiving. Generally, athletes compete to successfully complete a certain number of maneuvers in an allotted amount of time. Athletes can compete as teams, working to complete maneuvers and grips, or as individuals. Each performance is recorded and judged by a panel of experts. If you’re interested, our instructors can help you improve your flying skills and take you to the next level of indoor skydiving.

iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 12, 2021
iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Paramus (Owner) | Jun 13, 2021
