The management preys on tenants by making false claims of damages and then sending the false claims to credit collection agencies. They charged me almost $1000 for water damage to a carpet that did not have water damage when I left. Meanwhile they never fixed a broken unsafe toilet. This place is bad news. In my entire 50+ years I have never had a worse rental experience.

For the most part very quiet and in a nice area with schools close by. Non smoking property. The units themselves are decent sized but a bit older. The unit I stayed in was slightly yet very noticeably uneven floor in one of the bedrooms from what I’m guessing is the foundation shifting. All of my leasing info was done online and I never saw my unit before getting my keys based on working a busy schedule that had me out of state. Super easy process and the woman, Karla, I dealt with was kind and quick to communicate. Once I came to get keys I had to ask the gentlemen in the office where the unit was before being sent on my way lol!! Still learning the ropes of the property, I would suggest a welcome packet with all of the property information like hours of the pool, gym, and where to take your trash and recycling. (I don’t like valet trash I take my mine out when it needs to go out lol!! Lastly in only a matter of 16 short days my car was broken into. (Luckily not a huge loss more of just the discomfort of knowing a creep was in my car). This is simply a fact of my encounter but obviously no reflection of the office/staff! All in all very quiet, clean and seemingly nice neighborhood/neighbors. Can not think of one time being inside my unit and hearing people outside or from other units! Even with the minor flaws I would feel safe and comfortable at these apartments! One more big plus for parents of school aged kiddos, is you are in CFB schools not ISD!! Edit/update After a handful of sleepless nights of parking lot watch, I really do not see any suspicious activities or anything of concern, I parked in a more lit area now where I can easily see my vehicle and no other issues, issue solved! Put in a maintenance request for my blinds and a few other things I wanted done, and OMG when I say quick response it was quick!!! Like within 24 hours, I figured a few days because of the complex size. But super quick, professional and courteous response!!! Also as I am still getting more comfortable and familiar with the property I do admit I think it’s pretty great!! Still can’t hear any noise from neighbors from my unit (I’m new to apartment living so this was a concern of mine before moving in) Pool and property in general very clean all the time!

Great apartments, Wonderful rental prices and Incredible employees working in both maintenance and management. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else besides here. If you're looking for not just a place to rent but instead for a place to call home - then MacArthur Ridge Apartments is the place for you. The manager Mr. Jose is awesome. His is always so helpful and prompt. The residents here are his top priority here. The two maintenance men, Mr. Brent & Mr. Willfredo are exceptional men who always make sure their jobs are done right - the first time. They both always have smiles on their faces and take pride in the work they do for this property. They are definitely part of what makes living here at MacArthur Ridge different from all the other apartments around here. I definitely recommend this property above all others not only in the state of Texas but in Valley Ranch.

I moved here yesterday. Till now good experience. Karla is very friendly and made the movement very smooth. View is very good from my patio. But One thing I thought that I would get new carpet installed but its old.

As far as section 8 goes, no they do not. I'm not sure what second chance is but their credit check is only based on rental history.
Second chance meaning? Like if you might possibly have a bad mark it two on your previous rental history?
Being approved to rent/lease an apartment shouldn't be based on a person's criminal history. That would actually be discrimination. However, like all things there are exceptions to the rules. Someone might have a felony from a particular crime committed that prevents them from being allowed to live somewhere. For example: If someone were to have a criminal record because they can't kick the habit of stalking their ex and their ex happens to live at the property & has a restraining order that person will probably not be approved seeing the safety issue. Or if someone is a registered sex offender and the property they want to live on has schools on either side chances are they won't be able to live there either. NOTE: I am not a lawyer and my advice/comment is only that. My advice/comment is based only upon using just basic problem solving skills and Google. AS ALWAYS ITS BEST TO SEEK INFORMATION FROM A LICENSED ATTORNEY WHO SPECIALIZES IN CRIMINAL LAW.
Yes but it's kinda small.
