I spend a 2 night stay at this hotel as it was close enough to where I was traveling for work. Check-in was easy enough. I got a room on the ground floor near an exit door, which made it easy to park and walk in from outside. Though I do prefer to be on the 2nd floor for the feeling of extra security. The breakfast in the morning was adequate but not anything to rave about. The pool was closed, which was kind of disappointing. My only real complaint was that the room lacked USB ports for me to charge my phone. Most modern hotel rooms have some sort of USB plug to charge devices. The only way I was able to charge my devices was with my portable battery pack and by charging in my car. My 2nd complaint, though minor, was that the lighting in the room was dark, even with all the lights turned on. The bed was comfortable, the 24 hour gym equipment was good enough for a decent workout, and the tv had a decent selection of channels. All in all, a good stay.

Great place to stop on your way to a long trip. The rooms were perfect for a quiet, relaxed much needed rest.

The hotel is 5 minutes from town and is worth staying out as not only are the employees focused on excellent guest services but there is a complimentary van that runs on Saturday nights to and from town allowing guests to avoid parking fees and hassles during busy times. The complimentary breakfast is plenty for an individual or family as it includes fruits, eggs, yogurt, waffles, etc., and is kept full during entire breakfast hours. The hotel tends to be less expensive than surrounding hotels even though they have upgraded in recent years and the beds are the most comfortable in the entire Marriott chain. Definitely worth staying at and can avoid the $$$ hotel rates and parking rates in town.

My friend and I wanted a getaway and we found a very pleasant one at the Fairfield Inn Portsmouth Seacoast. Upon arrival we were greeted by Erica. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Erica helped us find places to eat and gave us ideas of interesting things to do. The housekeeping staff was wonderful. It was quick and easy to get new towels and additional soap. Although I didn’t have time to use the pool, it looked clean and inviting. Everyone we met from the hotel staff was helpful and friendly. I will certainly be returning.
