Mac Properties is responsible for the most degrading 10-month experience in my 35 years of life. They are the worst of the absolute worst. Similar to other reviewers on here, I will be breaking ties with all Mac-related things after my lease is up. A large part of the trust that we've built over the years together (been living here since 2018) was demolished in the last few months due to an absolute disastrous resident services experience with Ruth. I've been communicating with Ruth since the January 2022, attempting to resolve ongoing noise issues with an awful neighbor-from-hell that started way back in November 2021. (see more details in my Del Prado review) During my interactions with resident services, I constantly felt disrespected, belittled, and treated completely unfairly. I felt my opinion/feelings didn't matter to her, and that she was annoyed and bothered when talking with her (her messages would be riddled with errors in spelling and grammar). Failing to recognize that the situation was escalating, Ruth continued to downplay my ongoing complaints until things reached a boiling point with my neighbor. And to top all this, Ruth failed to be impartial and fair and somehow tried to frame me as the bad neighbor in this whole situation. This unbelievable and stressful debacle lasted for half a year, and greatly affected my personal and work life (working remotely). Mac failed to assist in resolving this conflict, failed in enforcing their own rules regarding noise, failed in providing effective resident services, and failed to provide a comfortable environment for the residents (as stated by their own lease). On their website, one of Mac's values is "It's personal - We’re dedicated to each resident, one universe at a time." I felt the complete opposite in my case, and was a dehumanizing experience. After 3 months, I had to escalate my case to a manager (whom was helpful and empathetic), and thankfully had the case reassigned. I honestly don't like that I'm making this review, as I believe there are genuinely good people who work here. However, I feel it's right to share my experience for others as a warning. I used to think Mac truly cared about my well-being as a long-time resident and appreciated how it provided good jobs to the Hyde Park community. Now I see them for what they are; a programmed machine that grows like a virus and cares only about making their money. They care very little about you as a person. Avoid all things Mac-related.

Leaving Solstice every single morning at 5:30 AM, Antoinette Idowu never failed to put a smile on my face. She is the best start to your day. Instantly, she turns you from a tired, groggy human into a smiling, whole-hearted person who is ready to attack the day. Her positive energy has impacted me and so many others in ways you wouldn’t believe. Antoinette takes pride is brightening peoples days and truly cares for peoples’ well-being. She is an amazing soul and deserves so much in this world.

Mac property very unprofessional I was trying to find a property in Hyde Park And I only had a certain amount of time but after they assist with you once they stop continuing with the process so I wouldn't prefer them to no one they need another way to get in touch with someone else to help people with the properties that they are in charge of, like a Manager in the building or something that you can call to show the property!!!!!!

We have furnished apartments available in Chicago only.
Their winter hours are M-F: 8 to 6pm, Sat: 9 To 5pm and Sun: 11 to 4pm. They are open longer in summer during the week.
