Free parking but signage is terrible. I didn’t even know which direction to go towards and just listened for the falls. They’re pretty but way too crowded with large groups and zero courtesy towards others. It’s not mobility friendly as there’s a steep incline. Don’t go in the summer. Much too crowded. Lots of kids jumping into the water with rocks beneath which was concerning. Pathway is narrow as well. Dog friendly but keep your dog on a leash as there are deer.

This is my favourite park in Bellingham. Lots of trails to explore, with many places to stop and enjoy the serenity of nature. There are several falls along the creek, the largest of which is near the east end of the park. Water flow is strongest in the winter and spring. While exploring off trail is possible, and fun, please note that the rocks here get extremely slippery when wet. The park is accessible by car with lots of parking near the main falls in the eastern portion of the park. The Silver Beach access road off Lakeway gets you very near the main falls and several trails. Accessing the park on foot is delightfully easy as there are entry points on all sides of the park. While biking is possible on the trails, there are several trails that have steep stairs.

A very serene area where the falls are flowing. Loved the peace and calm there. Just after a very short hike up the falls you will find another small falls - we saw lot of young people playing, bathing and swimming there - looked fun but I think i read no swimming in falls somewhere in the park so not sure if this was allowed. The small playground is nice for less then 4 years old kids.

Beautiful, easy trails. We parked near the hatchery which is close to the falls. Just a short hike down the trail and we got to see the falls, the bridge and take in the nature.

YOLO!
Yes, from the parking lot there is a paved walking/bike path along the river to the near by Whatcom Falls (1/4 mile) or less depending on how you want to go...... There's also Lake Whatcom with a lot of access.....
No ones doing that for a phone Karen 🤦🏾♀️
Your not allowed to camp in the park, or park there overnight, but if you could it would be amazing😉 for legit camping try larabee state park (south 15~ miles) or birch bay state park north 30~ miles? Rv or tent spaces, and showers at both, Larrabee state park is smaller and could fill up, so call ahead at peak season to make reservations as needed. Enjoy the park I often say that if whatcom falls was in Illionois it would be a National Park.

Several Trails available, of varying lengths. There are Trail markers indicating distance of trails at strategic locations throughout the park.
There are cybernetic centurions all through this free park that will know if you have snuck in ;)
It's just called danger slide 😎
Yes. Only Derby Pond is off limits to 15+, rest of the park is open (based on current fishing guidelines).

We don't think it is a state park. There were no signs anywhere saying discover pass is needed. Neither were any county park signs around. It is likely a City Park.
No horses. Bikes, strollers, dogs, and people feet are welcome. While there's no signage prohibiting horses, most of the trails, bridges, and stairs would probably not be easy for a horse to traverse.
There are wide paths to use but also tree roots that could cause some bumps. You can get to the waterfall easily from lower parking lot though.
Yes, some of the park is wheelchair accessible but none of the trails in the woods are
There is an off leash part of the trail on the southside of the creek by the cemetery. It can be accessed by the bridge west of the water treatment plant.
