Love ALC!! Very friendly people, and the worship service and message is always so incredible. My faith has strengthened so much as I’ve developed a deeper relationship with God. Pastor Jeremy’s sermons are such a big part of that as he helps us see the heart of God and how we can make the gospel good news for others. It’s amazing how well he explains scripture and connects it to our daily lives. I leave every service encouraged, understand the Bible from a more in-depth/new perspective, and feel closer to God. It’s just so beautiful. ALC is a blessing and I’m so grateful to be a part of this church!

Love this church. I've attended many Christian churches throughout my life and this is for sure the place for me. Jeremy is amazing at getting some very real points across and likes to call out people who call themselves Christian but dont walk the walk and I love that about him. Great worship team, great staff, great building, doing real things in the world to make the word of God good news for others and putting others before ourselves, nothing fake or money hungry here just solid followers of god. I moved so it's a bit of a drive for me now but I'd never even think of going elsewhere.

No, that is not why we removed them. We are passionate about trying to reach people far from God with the good news of the Gospel of Jesus. This means designing everything from our spaces to our practices in order to allow them to experience Jesus. For some, Christian decorations can present an obstacle to a new person feeling comfortable in that space. We felt that removing the crosses helped us create a space that allows them to hear the message as easily as possible. At ALC we preach the message of the cross every single week! Every aspect of our ministries from student and children ministries, worship and communion, to every sermon we continually point people to Jesus, his good news and the life that can be found in a relationship with Him. Pre-K 5 years old and under go to child care. Kindergarten and up will go to the service with you. The service is appropriate and has a fun children moment were they go to the front and get a story read together. We took our five and nine year old today and the service will be the same tomorrow. Merry Christmas!

All you need to do is show up on a Sunday. Services are at 8:30, 10:00 or 11:30. If you are so inclined, a new option is available starting this Thursday evening. After any service, simply find the 'Starting Point' counter to the left, as you are leaving the auditorium, and talk with one of the friendly people there.
Debbie, if I were you, id start out in a life group. If you're single id suggest a woman's group that is studying the foundations of the christian life. Combining that with your own daily Bible reading and prayers would be a solid start. In addition to those i use the YouVersion Bible app to get a daily verse sent to me and I use their reading plans as well as daily devotionals. To keep my mind stimulated throughout the week I watch messages by Andy Stanley of Saddleback Church, he has a lot of really good, deep and culturally relevant messages online.
