I had a good experience with my exam for glasses and contacts. Short wait time, though there were others getting exams. Ashley and Caitlyn were great. However, I wasn't too pleased to pickup my glasses with smudges on both lenses, which ended up masking a tiny scratch on one lens. The contacts were fine, but I get an slight unnatural refraction in my new glasses lenses, similar to a camera's fisheye lens...maybe I just need to get used to it. UPDATE: 4 stars to 2 A few weeks later I received a pair of glasses I ordered online from two different sites, with the new prescription received from my appointment. The lenses were perfect. Clearly, the lenses that were cut for my new frames from Walmart are not my actual prescription. It looks like I have not been the only victim of this based on another review I read. What a shame.

Very rude customer service on top of ordering the wrong glasses for our son. Not even an apology.

I Had to go to this location because the Walmart’s near me didn’t have an eye doctor (which is very frustrating). So I thought I would try this one even though I had a 45 min drive. I’ve always had good experience with the Mt. Vernon location. When I got into see the eye doctor I felt like she was just going through the motions. Which is whatever, but she didn’t ask me if I knew what my current prescription was. If I felt like if I needed a stronger prescription then what I currently had or if I was satisfied with what I had. She did her best guess at what she thought I needed.chose one and didn’t ask me if I could see clearly out of it or not. She was just like is 1 or 2 better. That’s standard I know that. She dilated my eyes then had me wait the proper amount of time that your supposed to wait. Then brought me back gave me new contacts and asked how they were. Umm well they’re blurry which is normal when having your eyes dilated. I noticed the strength of my contacts decreased a little bit I asked her, the eye doctor about it and said it didn’t make that big of a difference. It does. I even gave it more time to see if I was just mad she didn’t ask me about my strength of contacts. Time did not help. It’s not any better. So I am ticked that o have to go somewhere else and pay more money for another visit and contacts. Just because she couldn’t do her job correctly. I have bad eyes I need to see clearly. The other associates in the eye center were rude and not helpful only the younger girl was helpful. Until she can either learn her job, be more customer service friendly or they get a new eye doctor. I highly do jot recommend this location.

In most cases we take Davis Vision, Spectera, Superior Vision, VSP (Out of Network), and EyeMed. In the case of EyeMed, you ususaly pay up front and then get a check for reimbursement sent to you from them. Some stores take more and offer different benefits depending on with what insurance the doctor has a contract. Hope this helps and that we can SEE you soon!
