One of my favorite state parks in MN! Truly a hidden gem in the SE corner of the state with beautiful geological features and great hiking trails. Be sure to check out big spring and if you’re brave jump in even though it’s freezing!

I'f you like fishing for trout then this state park is for you. Driving to you campsite tents only area you have to cross the creek a few times only state park that has this highly recommend trying this park. The hiking trails are awesome.

This park is magical. I went there and it was 53 degrees and misting, it felt like some sort of fairy tale. The northern trails are much more flat than the ones on the south end of the park, and I would say every trail is extremely interesting except the south trail west of the road, lots of cool rock formations, the creek is perfect, with little rapids and plenty of bridges over it. The plateau rock trail should be treated with caution, if it is muddy at all you have a chance of going sliding down the hill, so be careful. Amazing park, truly.

This is not your typical state park. Most sites are secluded. You won't see your neighbors if that's your hope. Check the map and choose the spot for you. We chose the cart-in site. It was work to get the gear to the site. The toilets were a walk, but we loved our location. It was so relaxing and we heard do many birds. My kid could play without worrying about cars.
