Absolutely loved the entire experience. Beautiful campground. Walking distance to the town and everyone was polite and wonderful.

We rented a trailer and got a spot close to the bathroom. Local staff SUPER nice and friendly. Each site has a table fire pit with moveable grill and a bear box. There are double sites too. This campground also has beach access. How quickly you access the water depends on which site you reserve. We went with friends and would probably get two spots facing each other instead of next to each other or next door to each other, for ease in the evenings when hanging together. Bathrooms have lights for night time use. No showers. Also, close to town access for restaurants and stores. There us also the day use area closer to shore. But you still have to hike down to the water.

Lovely campground! Have clean and accessible bathrooms, parking, water, shaver lake access. Recommend!

Had a great time. Shaver Lake is not too cold, clear water. Host/rangers were super nice. Mostly quiet. (Don’t understand ppl and their total lack of consideration for their neighbors. Just turn down your music and lower your voices after 10 pm! Not that hard! One campsite got an angry but calm visit from my husband at 12:30am, and they were good after that.) Bathrooms were so clean!! Was a little concerned when we saw there were toilet vaults but it was fine. Hook on the wall for hanging clothes.

I cant remember how much it cost if you check on the website and click reserve on any day it will give you an amount per day charge. I just dont have the numbers off the top of my head for you.
Yes there is space for trailers. Maximum length truck and trailer is 40 feet. There are no hookups and you must fill your trailer with fresh water. There is a dump station at Camp Edison. To make a reservation go to Recreation. Gov and enter dorabelle Campground. Happy camping!
Yes
I would say no unless you reserve a larger campsite.I seen campsite with a large RV and two vehicles. The site I reserved would only fit my Jeep.
Depends on the host and if the sites clean and ready. I've been able to check in early sometimes, and sometimes I've had to wait. Usually they don't allow it
No, just typical flies and other bugs, no meat bees
All site's can be reserved on recreation.gov
Go to recreation.gov input dorabelle Campground and that will show you what our availability is you can rent more than one site. Good luck hope to see you this summer.
I don't think too bad. Last 20 minutes is one lane and windy but plenty of people do it. Prior to that it's a lot of uphill but two lanes. Tons of people come in from Fresno.
You use recreation.gov website to reserve a site at the Dora Belle Campground
Yes
Dorabelle camp has many restrooms
What if it says first come first serve.can i call?
The only site with a view is 36 it's a double tent only site.
Some, depends on where to, around the lake itself Verizon covers well. Dinkey Creek, Grove, and Bear Creek forget about it, zero cell coverage for all providers.
31 dollars for a single or 62 for a double. Single comes with 1 car pass double comes with 2 car pass. Single 6 people double 12 people.
We hiked down to the lake and the service was great!
You can't really launch a boat from the campground. We launch at the marina, then cross the lake to Dora Belle. You can tie a small boat at the cove.
$10 is for parking only. But camp cost is different and more
Nothing but if you have a generator you can use it.
They are usually open by 9am to let you know which spots will be available. Formal check in is 2pm
$32 per night, $10 for day use only at the picnic sites for parking(really pays for maintaining the picnic sites)...the campsites are always well taken care of and it depends on which site you pick how many tents will fit. Some gave enough room for a large rv and tent and others are tent only sites(some parking spots are difficult to enter or leave if you have a large rv or boat)and there is no loading dock for boats here.
Reservation is a must
