Difficult hike, even if you just do part of the trail. Pretty scenery, I would recommend taking the natural spring route, the small bluffs and creek at the end are worth it.

Steep trails. Definitely not friendly for the out of shape or small children. If you make it to the lake during early spring, you'll find some amazing views. Once the foliage grows thick, the beautiful lake view is blocked. If you go after a recent rain, the natural water falling off the bluffs and the pools of crystal clear water are images from story books. If you're sturdy enough to hike the trails during some rainfall, it's otherworldly.

Good hiking, on old logging roads, so plenty wide to go with a group and chat away! Very hilly terrain. Hike was challenging and at the end you're rewarded with a lake shoreline and you can swim if you choose! Views were not spectacular, only reason for 4 stars over 5. Trails very well marked and maintained.

This is a TOUGH trail, but a really beautiful area. The spring runs year-round, and is worth the side trip. There’s not much of a view from Trimble Mtn - too many trees - but you can pat yourself on the back for making it to the top! The gravel drive to the parking area is easy to zip right past. Keep an eye out for the sign. It’s set back from the road a bit.
