Great campgrounds, you can feel yourself here surrounded by nature yet still being relatively close to the town. Just a 15 min drive from town and you can enjoy fresh air. Restroom and shower are regularly maintained. Forest has lots of wild life, squirrels, chipmunks different birds and raccoons at night time. Be careful with your food cause if you leave outside, you definitely will get night visitors who would love to eat all you got. There is a whole bunch of hiking trails, mostly for beginners but still very enjoyable. To enjoy the lake, it is recommended to bring kayak or boat since water is kind of muddy close to the banks.

We visited on 23 Oct for Halloween event. Campground was buzzed with spooky decorations. Kids had fun collecting candies. This was my first time attending this event and loved it.

Nice mix of hiking trails, both woods and fields. Have to really watch out for tree roots, rocks, and horse droppings since many of the trails are shared. Nice spots to stop and enjoy the lakeview or climb the rocks. Pretty especially in fall!

Amazing experience! Beautiful park, well maintained, and so much for everyone in the family to do. I wasn't able to explore many trails as I'm healing from a knee injury but the Lime Kiln Trail was perfect for me just starting out again. Gorgeous views of Lake Winnebago all throughout the park. It is definitely on the list of our favorite state parks to visit again.

At the escarpment state natural area? Is this separate from High Cliff State Park?
