You would need to call and give a description, microchip number if you have it, and when you lost your dog ect.
You will have to call them. A pet is a life long responsibility. Please make sure they are up for the challenge.
We're closed now but You can come on down and volunteer tomorrow, we open up at 10 am and close at 4 pm. There are plenty of things to do and plenty of animals that could use some socialization, especially our shy babies. If you go to the front desk ask for a volunteer form, just fill it out and hand it back to the lady at the front and she will go through everything with you.
Pets can be surrendered Tuesdays Thru Saturdays 11:00 to 3:00. Call first. The shelter is over crowded and may not be taking surrenders.
The best thing to do is to go to the shelter and talk with the receptionist. There are many requirements needed in order to adopt. A personal visit should answer all your questions. Even if you don't adopt, you may want to volunteer as a walker.
We will not charge to check for a microchip. Local vet clinics also check for chips
You can volenteer at 16 with parental permission.
If you live in Kershaw county there is no charge
There is no charge for animal surrenders. We do ask for a monetary donation if you can though.

No we are not a no kill shelter. We try our best in every way to make sure we dont have to euthanize.
I believe that there is a small fee. I would try posting your cats on Facebook group Cats around town or the free/ for sale page for Kershaw County
Go to the county building I believe there is where they take the apps at its off of 521 & just before hwy 1 in Camden in the same building as the tax office
Yes, they use them for bedding!
