Nice park. The disc golf course was longer than expected. 11 was hard to find, it was across a street and up a hill from 10. I did also get a face full of spiderweb but it's Georgia. Highly recommend going here for whatever. Lots of space to just hangout. There was a string of picnic tables like 8 strong.

Awesome place ever! Hiking trails, fishing spot, climbing area, watch for your little kids they can get hurt if you're not watching them correctly. Wild life watching ( be quiet though). Other than all of this it's awesome. I love it. And pets are welcomed also.

My favorite park in town. It's beautiful and people are usually really nice and friendly. Watch out for the mud pits, at certain times of the year we are constantly seeing people get their trucks stuck multiple times a day. The police drive through the park at night to make sure everyone leaves. Park conditions: I feel like more efforts are directed to maintain and beautify cooper Creek, but that's just my personal opinion. I'd love to see some of the roads/sides of roads fixed due to erosion, holes filled in, trees that are about to fall or "hangers", (branch pieces that aren't even connected) that could easily fall and hurt someone. But otherwise come on out. I saw the biggest deer of my life in a creek, in the woods. It was beautiful and it didn't even make a sound when it moved. Living out in Midland I see deer on the side of the road all the time, but never like this. Come check out the park and wildlife.
Scooters Atv and Boat Repair
Very clean facilities and grounds well kept. Great place for meeting friends and family. Bike trails.. fishing lake..disc golf course.. plenty of grilling huts and open grills.. Very popular with the RC crawling community!! The restroom could use a little updating but they're still not bad. Overall I'm going to give it 5 stars!!! Also very amazing place to take photos.

Flat Rock was the same park when I was a kid so it goes back to at least the late 60s
None that I have heard of in 40 some years. Just keep your dog on a leash or tethered. Though I have seen them run free with owners and playing or jogging.
Can not swim in pond.

I don't believe there is any rules about swimming in the lake but I lived here across the road for years and wouldn't suggest it.

It is a beautiful Park and has the potential to be a great place to take your family and pets. There is still quite a bit of drugs, thugs, vandalism and trash throughout the park. Found this week broken glass, syringes and way too much trash. Sad that people don't have more respect. Just be vigilant. I refuse to let them run me off.
I never hear of good results from fishing around Flat Rock. But I believe you can keep what you catch. You can call Columbus Parks and Rec to find out.
Yes you can. But be sure to have your fishing license. They do check randomly.
Ive never fished there. Youd come out better at Lake Oliver, i think. But i do see alot of folks fishing at Flat Rock.
There are a fair amount of pan fish. Live crickets work well
Park is only open during daylight hours. So you can pitch a tent during the day, but no overnight camping, sorry.
No first come first serve. However there is an enclosed pavilion with restrooms that you can reserve, but all others, just grab it and go
