The lady at the desk who checked me in was very sweet. My husband went to get ice for our drinks and found out it was not working. He asked if there was an ice machine on another floor and the lady at the desk said no. Odd that a hotel of that size only has one ice machine. You would think that they would be on all floors. On the bright side of things the air conditioner works. Our room was on the first floor it was a little creepy with the woods right behind us and the windows too. I think that they need better locks on them or new windows perhaps. If an intruder came into our room we were ready.

The room wasn't as clean as it should have been. The bed looked like someone had just gotten out of it. The bathroom had stains around the bottom of the commode .I sprayed the towels and wash cloths with Microban. I sprayed the bed each layer especially the pillows. I slept with my head on my hands all night. I like coffee but the coffee maker had coffee grounds in the water reserve. I feel the Health department needs to do a surprise inspection . I was glad for for only one night. I was there for a funeral.

My elder uncle stayed here. I was there to ride with him to a funeral. I mean this when I say it. This place is clean. If it wasn't my uncle would not have stayed there. He is ole school. 5 stars all the way.

I had to give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the front desk staff and housekeeper Nikki were amazingly friendly and accommodating. I always do a bed bug check no matter what hotel I go to. I checked in and the videos posted were of the 1st room I was given. I showed my videos to the front desk attendant who was very helpful in changing my room and Mrs Nikki cleaned it nicely before I went in. However after a few hours because of how the first room looked and other things I saw like a worn & yellowed toilet seat in our bathroom, a bunch of bugs in the lights of the elevator, lights out in the stairwells and broken ac's and trash discarded at the bottom of one of the stairwells, we didn't feel comfortable staying there. I tried to get a partial refund for my stay however the front desk attendant said she couldn't do that and let me know when to call the manager. The hotel was nice on the outside and even in the foyer but the furniture in the rooms, rugs and bathrooms are in need of a professional deep cleaning. I don't recommend staying here.
