What a resourceful place to go! The staff is top notch and friendly, including the veterans service representative. They helped provide me with guidance on my resume and now it is ready to go and something I'm proud to show to others. I also love the fact that they have printing available at no cost for my job search. They also have workshops and other information available. They have a lot of job listings available to search through.

Found no support for displaced white collar and older persons. Was forced to sit through center orientation geared toward those with nonexistent or poor skill sets/education . . . Where the group was given point and click instructions for the "Ohio Means Jobs" web site and an admonition to not pick flowers from potential employers' landscaping. Ridiculous waste of time! Was encouraged to sit through program now referred to as WHIOA as possible avenue for retraining or skill enhancement, only to find that the federal aid dollars were only made available to blue collar workers. Was treated and spoken to like a child during mandatory program sessions for those receiving unemployment. Left feeling worse than when I walked in the door. Why waste my time? Need to have staff who truly understand the job market and are prepared to serve all unemployed, particularly since tax dollar use should be nondiscriminatory.

I have never seen a case manager work as hard as Melissa Boetner has to avoid providing help to someone in need. Especially when the services provided are specifically for that purpose. I appealed her decision to deny help and she lied under oath. Not only did she lie under oath she convinced Sharon to follow in her footsteps. I honestly would not be surprised if she was racist but I strongly feel that she is in the wrong field regardless. In my opinion, more extensive evaluations need to be done on people in these roles. Fortunately I'm not looking to have the government provide services to me for the rest of my life which was apparent from the time I signed up considering I was enrolled in college. Also I believe in God and I believe that I am his child and whomever has ill intent towards me because of their own personal insecurities will reap what they've sown ten fold. I don't have to go out of my way to try to make anyone miserable. I've probably truly helped more people through mentoring to youth, Volunteering to clean the city, randomly providing to strangers in need money food etc, than Boetner ever has. I'm proud to say that I have had my issues with being a single mother and going through things but I find no satisfaction in going out of my way to try to figure out how to bring someone else misery. I think that speaks for itself. "Misery Loves Company." Well good luck with that.
