The captain that works in the hole there , reads people's mail over the speaker and makes fun of them. He also beats inmates that's why they keep him in the hole .

Yes there is a volunteer group that does that currently. I would not try to get clearance for Retreat as it is closing. Contact SCI Dallas HR

Make sure yur on the list first or you will get denied , visits are Fridays to mondays . Go up sign in earliest is 830am and they will tell you what else you need to do , if your unsure just ask they are pretty welcoming and helpful.

There is a motel at the intersection of rte11 and rte 29 nanticoke, PA. But honestly it is right next to a strip club. Wilkes-barre or kingston will be your best hotels for cheapest.
