Too expensive as everyone else says. If they lowered their prices more people could afford to bring their kids for a great day out. For example Nightmares was open but no one was in there. Not surprised when it is over $20 Canadian which is absolutely ridiculous. They don't realize how much money they would make if they only charged $10!

For a nice day it wasn't crowded at the falls always great to see such a wonder of nature like the falls and had to get a trinket to say I was at NIAGARA FALLS
We came from Long Island it took us seven and a half hours when we got there we went to the information center picked up a Discovery Pass saw the movie at Niagara Falls and the next day we went at 8:30 to the Cave of the Winds took a trolley to Maid of the Mist took a trolley back to top of the Falls restaurant ate lunch then went to the aquarium went back to our hotel took a nap then walk down to see the falls at night it is possible to do it all in one weekend I do recommend getting the Discovery Pass for $46 well worth it
It can still be fun, especially at night. There are casinos, arcade, ferris wheel, go-kart, and other places to have fun if you don't mind spending money.
Yes, only the first days of October then winter comes and everything freezes and the truth is that you will not be able to enjoy the waterfall in all its splendor, which is actually the idea 👍
They were first called the Indians because Christopher Columbus mistakenly thought that he had arrived in the East Indies when he discovered the New World. Then they were later called the Native Americans and American Indians to distinguish them from the Asian Indians.
Hi! Well, one where you can see the falls would be the skylon tower restaurant, but as far as I know, they serve lunch and dinner there, not breakfast.
There are places where they allow boating and places where they don't. You'll want to check where the safe places are, but generally they do not allow it near the falls.
According to Wikipedia: "On October 24, 1901, a 63-year-old schoolteacher named Annie Edson Taylor became the first person to take the plunge over Niagara Falls in a barrel. It is estimated that 12,000 years ago when the falls were formed, the edge of the falls was as much as seven miles further down river than it is today"

If there are two, one is
Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) is roughly an hour and a half and the other is Hamilton International Airport (YHM) - that is roughly an hour
To go down to the tunnels I do not think, to the waterfalls you can see them without problem. It is a national park that does not charge and is open all the time
Elisa and Alice I envy you a lot because you will come back with your head full of memories.

The idea is to catch up on some shopping. The americans seem to be relaxed about precautions. Sure, it's an inconvenience but dead is dead! So is it worth it?
If the minimum price very close to the falls is between 80 and 140 dollars but if you want something cheaper there is Airbnb in the area of up to 40 dollars
Niagara Falls in the letter L from two directions, the first direction is approximately 300 meters wide, and the second width is approximately 500 meters. It pours into a hole and then gathers to go to Lake Ontario in Toronto, Canada
No because of winter they are saying maid of the mist closes from October 24. My flight was on Oct 25 to Buffalo. I was thinking if it is worth it going without boat, but learned the observation dock is also closed starting same day as boat so I cannot get a glimpse of the falls
Internationally famous, many movies shooting location, honeymoon capital town and a waterfall in ontario, Canada. One must visit it at least once in a life time.
Affirmative my dear. You can travel from NY to Niagara Falls without any inconvenience by any means of transport, car, bus or if you have the possibility by plane.
Check google 🙄😜 it is relatively low on the list of the world's largest falls, Niagara Falls is the best known waterfall on the planet. At 3,950 feet wide, it's far from the largest waterfall around, but it is the falls with the largest volume of water traveling through it.
I want to go to the falls in March 2021, I need to know if it is open and what is the entrance fee for tourists thanks

Hello!! Entering the park is FREE, it is always open 24 hours a day. What you pay is to get on the boat MAID OF THE MIST, THE CAVE OF THE WINDS, use the little train that takes you around the park. I recommend you enter the official page to check schedules for these activities. I went in JULY 2019 (midsummer) in winter and more now that they are frozen, maybe you can only walk through the park. I recommend you go in summer better
Is it paid ??? , when the answer is ,, yes "how much ?????

It is open all year but in November they close attractions of the caves cave of the winds and the maid of the mist ferry now takes advantage of a very pleasant climate
It is open on these dates

If it is open all year round except for cave of the winds and the maid of the mist they close in November you have to arrive early to buy tickets as there is a limited number each day
Good evening, I am from Mexico City, I want to go to the falls but what state should I get to, as close to it as possible since I will only go to see the falls?

I just went there and did the horn blower last week
1. Parking rates are a bit expensive so be prepared for that. 28 to 30 dollars.
2. Last time I went it was extremely busy so be mindful of that.
3. Staying overnight hinges on a few different factors. How far away from Niagara are you? Do you want to stay overnight with your friends, family or love one for a romantic occasion. This choice is totally yours. Niagra is a small place overall so once you've been there the day that's usually enough.
Hope you have a great time and stay safe.
It costs nothing to see since the panorama is free, the ones that cost are the activities that are for example if you want a tour to see them more closely by boat are like $ 60 if you stay at a hotel nearby is another cost but it is worth it on weekends that are the pyrotechnics attractions that grab looks beautiful as 10:30 or 11 at night they start
What is best period of the year to visit niagara falls? İs niagara falls the largest waterfall in the world? How many people visit niagara falls per each year? Thanks for answers.
Niagara Falls was formed starting more than 12,000 years ago at the end of the Ice Age when large torrents of water were released from the melting ice, draining into the Niagara River.
The only time the falls aren't running full force are:
1. In the winter, when it has frozen over (& the water still runs but you don't see it)
2. Every 50 years the water on American side is diverted to the Canadian side to do an erosion study. It isn't happening this year, but as soon as the funding is secured, there will be a summer on the American side without water.
The first European to document the area was a French priest, Father Louis Hennepin. During a 1678 expedition, he was overwhelmed by the size and significance of Niagara Falls. When he returned to France, Hennepin published an account of his travels in "A New Discovery."
niagara falls has been eroding for a while now. there is a sign about a couple hundred feet away showing where the falls were back in the 1600. past 200 years erosion was at about 5 ft per year since reduced to 1ft per year
I went in mid-April, because I do not like the heat. From there you can go any month until October. To enjoy the Falls, it is better to arrive in Toronto. It is an hour and a half by car. By N.Y are more than 7 hours. It's a matter of planning your trip. regards
Do your research, prepare for the very cold winters. Maybe think of Buffalo, which is about 30 or forty minutes from Niagara Falls, Canada. The most important thing is to have a plan and a backup plan. Best regards.
Niagara is NOT in Alaska but in Canada. You only need a permit that is called eTA and you process it on the website of the Canadian embassy in your country. In Mexico it costs 7 CAD.
There's a bunch of stuff to see and do. Don't get too caught up though. On the U.S. Side there is an Information Building that's very easy to find. They will provide you with the Information that you need. I hope this helps you. Have Fun!
Not frozen solid but alot of mist has frozen and built up, the river under the peace bridge is frozen pretty good, but the ice around the falls right now makes for some Awsome pics. Cheers.
Take hwy 420 east all the way to the end do not cross boarder turn right and viola the falls you cant miss them. Go a bit further get rid of the car a go for a walk
Any recommendations I want to go by car from houston texas to the falls. Because it is a border there is migration already to get to the falls or not who has gone by car. What do you recommend????

There is no problem if it is not going to go to Canada, if it is only going to be in the part corresponding to Niagara, USA.
Pretty much everything is still open but not the boat and not the air cars. The Niagara Eye, miniature golf, the walk behind the falls and the attraction center are all open still
It is on the American side and there are a whole bunch of stairs you have to take. I don't know that it is necessarily called the "Cave of Evil Spirits" but there is a tour you can take that let's you see some caves at the falls..
The lights are on after dark for the festival of lights. The falls are illuminated as well. Fireworks are at 9pm on Friday night right now. Pretty sure most places are probably closed on Christmas day except the casinos, hotels, and indoor water parks. Some places may have hours of operation for limited time frames.
Louis hennepin was the first european to document the falls but my guess would be one of the native peoples of north america was the first to come across it
It's a name from which the "Naigara River" originated. The French explorers that came to naigara gave this Indian tribe the name "Neutrals" because of their position and status as peace keepers between the two warring Indian nations - the Huron's and the Iroquois.
You can buy a ticket for 4 attraction : the boat that goes under the falls, walking near the rapids, an experience in 4D and a walk behind the falls. I choose the Canadian side, I found it better than American side. Choose an hotel with falls view, it's spectacular, especially during the night. The city (New part) offers a lot of entertainment and food shop. Best regards
Niagara falls is great. The falls is a must see, there is a casino and Clifton hill is fun. Not far away is Niagara on the lake with many historic homes. Have fun
Didn't see any mermaid's, but did see a truly breathtaking thing of natural beauty.. and an amazing rainbow aswell.. couple of unicorns and a pot of gold..😉
During the first two centuries after the European settlement in the area, the lands on both sides of the falls were privately owned. The development of the region threatened the natural beauty of the site and sometimes visitors had to pay to see the falls through a hole in a fence. In 1885 the authorities of Canada and the United States began to acquire the adjacent lands with a view to the preservation of the place. In New York, the artist Frederick Church and the landscape painter Frederic Law Olmsted headed the movement "Free Niagara", which persuaded the state of New York to buy the lands under guarantee of making a state reserve. That same year, the Canadian province in Ontario established Queen Victoria Park Niagara Falls Park for the same purposes. Both organizations have achieved remarkable successes in operations to restrict development on both banks of the falls and the Niagara River. On the Canadian side, the Niagara Falls Commission regulates land use along the course of op
I don't think you will get the fun except if you will live how with that baby care... As babysitter but that will be hard to find someone could take care of four months of age heading out lot of nurses in daycare will take care of her but you will not be comfortable without her.
Thank you for the answer; but what I'm curious about is the depth of the water at the point where it goes over the falls, not how far down the water actually falls.
I don't know if you have a direct flight from Argentina, but you can fly to Buffalo, New York or Toronto, Ontario. However, the view from Canada is incredible because it is facing the fall.
I don't know about the discounts. And during summer vacations or weekends it is better to buy the tickets on line. However the traffic in lines to buy tickets is very fluid.
It depends which direction the wind or blowing, if you're on the Canadian side, you'll probably have a problem. If you're on the US side, you'll be fine.
A glacier came through in the ice age and cut out the escarpment and lakes. It melted and formed the great lakes and one of those rivers flowed over the edge of the escarpment. That river eroded all the way back from the escarpment to the present place of niagara falls, leaving the niagara gorge behind it!
If you go to the biagara discovery center, they do a great job of explaining the geologic past and formation of the falls!
No the 7 wonders of the world are: Great Pyramid of Giza, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Lighthouse of Alexandria, Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, and Temple of Artemis at Ephesus.
Yes, viewing the falls are free. We parked up away from the falls and walked. It was amazing. Bring snacks( anything on the falls is expensive) then we went and ate at the casino ( buffet ) after 4 was prime rib and more, it was 4 star dinning. Must have a passport to go to Canada side. Im only a couple hrs away, so i can do day trips. If you fly in make it a couple 3 days , and take the boat rides or walk to to bottom of the falls. These extra things you will pay for but are well worth it. And if doing either make it a hot day :) bring extra clothes
Great pics from both sides, but it's an INCREDIBLE view of the Horseshoe Falls from the Canadian side - it's worth walking over the bridge from the US side - easier than trying to park on the Canadian side.
Completely worth the walk if everyone is up for it - you will have to walk thru customs, so keep the passports handy.
good afternoon, I want to go for a walk to the falls of the niagara and I want to do it with the family, but part of the family is a chihuahua dog, I can access with the chihuahua dog.

My husband and I are going to be going in August of this year to the us side. Can anyone give a few names of some good motels / hotels in the area by the falls. Is there a loft hotel up there? Thanks

I never i the US side, you can go to the website, there should be map, and list for all the store!
Niagara Falls is a land mark. It is made up of the Horseshoe Falls (Canadian side) and the American Falls (United States side) on the Niagara River. I suggest viewing the falls from the Canadian side as you can get right up to where the water flows over the Horseshoe falls, it is pretty incredible.
Niagara is approx 175 km from Toronto pearson Airport. There are multiple options to reach Niagara from Toronto. Rental Car (Just 2 hrs Drive on Express Way), Train, Tour Bus (Mega Bus, Greenland - approx 25canadian Dolllars single way).
The closest airport to Niagara is in Buffalo, USA.
I would just you to take a rental car and enjoy the trip.
Happy Journey
Niagara Falls is symbol of pride for Canadians. This place is a mile stone for those who works across the border. This is relaxing place if some one is under stress. The beauty of Nigeria Falls absorb negativity of life.
The Welland Canal is a ship canal in Ontario, Canada, connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. It forms a key section of the St. Lawrence Seaway. Traversing the Niagara Peninsula from Port Weller to Port Colborne, it enables ships to ascend and descend the Niagara Escarpment and bypass Niagara Falls
Winter is something special at Niagara Falls. I spent my first winter weekend there with my family and we got to experience Niagara without snow and later that evening with a heavy snowfall. Summer has most of the water basted attracitions open and aould probably be more comfortable weather wise.
Unfortunately it isn't. Many feel that it should be. The seven listed as the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World are: Great Pyramid of Giza;Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Statue of Zeus,Colossus of Rhodes; Temple of Artemis;Mausoleum at Halicarnassus; Pharos of Alexandria.
Is the waterfall freezing now?
I will be visiting on the 25th.
Will the waterfall be frozen until then?

I visited for a while last year, so I do not know if I froze now. See the weather by the 25th. The freezing waterfalls seem to be cool. It does not freeze easily ...
Hello, if first the second height is going to fall on rocks and third the turbulence that is generated ... at this time the water is freezing. I do not recommend that you throw yourself j😁
From what I was told by a guide, is a natural falls that was a V. Now the horse shoe is man made to stop erosion. Even though water above the falls is man-made with tunnels on the Canadian side and things in the water for the ripples
I do not know what I was there until eight-thirty in the evening and saw boats afterwards I was on the cruise getting wet there as much as entering the pool and recommend coming with a change of clothes
At what time do they turn off the lights of Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls are visible from the US and from Canada so depending on the country you are in and depending on the country you come from, one document or another will be necessary, but not to visit the falls itself but to be in a country or another. For example, if you are Spanish and visiting from the Canadian side, it will suffice to have a passport and have processed the ETA.
