I actually worked for them, and they tout themselves as a Christian based company when they are the type of Christians who give Christian’s a bad name. They lie, they are not bit compassionate and his wife claims to want to be out of the business but she is the one pulling his strings and creating issues that aren’t there, they don’t stick behind anything they say, it changes from date to date, make rash decisions, run off good employees. This company is only as good as the people out there doing the work..they have a great group of techs and installers! Wonderful guys, but current ownership handles things they will eventually lose them as well. Their customers come from their church but if they knew what kind of people the owners and wife, mainly her pulling his strings were really like they would not be seen as true Christians at all. It’s sad they have so many people fooled. They run of good employees who affect Anita’s plans outside of the business. Great group of guys and I think when these two decide to finally let Caleb run it and don’t meddle then it could be an actual honest good company to work for.

We had a couple problems over the past year -- one issue with an attic drain pipe and another with our HVAC unit. In both cases, Charlotte Heating & Air sent out technicians to address the problems the very next day. They are knowledgeable, professional and exceptionally dedicated to providing the highest level of service to their customers. I can't give enough positive feedback to fully cover our experience, but I can say that this is the only HVAC contractor we will use/recommend from this point forward.

Questions & Answers

When should a system be replaced?

Charlotte Heating & Air | Sep 8, 2022
Charlotte Heating & Air | Sep 8, 2022

There comes a point when the cost of repairs is not worth it, either due to parts being obsolete or simply the expense of the parts. This is best done after a thorough inspection of your system and often is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Is it worth charging a system with freon/refrigerant?

Charlotte Heating & Air | Sep 8, 2022
Charlotte Heating & Air | Sep 8, 2022

It depends, but generally no. The EPA is changing the minimum SEER rating as well as the testing to determine the SEER rating. This is causing all but the high-level systems to increase dramatically in price starting January 1st, 2023. (SEER is an efficiency rating.) If your system is r22 it is definitely not worth charging. That refrigerant (freon) has been phased out by the EPA and is obsolete.
