First time I been here,, i had a long walk with lovely scenery of the lake and trees. Also really loved the wide trails! Can't wait to go back!

awesome kids park and lot of trails, free and fun you can spend atleast 2 hours here. you can bring your own paddle boat and other boats in the lake.

It is the perfect spot for enjoying nature and the home turf of WogWorks Kayaking! There is a trail that goes around the lake, including a floating portion. There are several good launching spots for kayaks and paddle boards and a boat ramp too!

Nice place! It has a boat ramp and a historic marker at access point 1. There are 5 accesses points. Fishing, boating, kayaking, walking, biking and grilling around the lake side can be fun. It has kids area, a paved trail park, shade and park benches at access point 4 and 1. Lush green lawns around.

I go to Standing Bear multiple times per week for walking, running, walking the dogs etc, but no swimming allowed because it's a dam site. (I really wish it wasn't a dam site because it would be so much closer) It can be dangerous with all the undertow that's created. Someone just drowned last week in Cunningham Lake because he tried to swim back to shore from a broken down boat and the dam's undertow took him down. We go out to Louisville Lakes, 144th st and just a couple miles South of Hwy 50. It is a state park, so you will need a park pass $6 daily or $30 yearly. They have a beach and swimming lake with a changing room on the beach and REAL bathrooms and even showers within walking distance of the beach. It is a campground as well with all facilities for tents and R.V.s. Ha, I feel like I just did a review for Louisville Lakes!
Given the number of missing fish hooks around the shore of that lake, I wouldn't suggest it.
Wherspann lake may out in gretna. I know good catfish out there.
First come gets their choice I believe.
Yes. Multiple areas
I only found porta potty however maybe over by where the kids play
It is 4 miles from the start of the bridge and around.
Yes, they just installed a floating causeway so you don't have to walk on 144th Street.
I've seen people doing it before on the 144th st side
I have a license. I just didnt know if you needed a Day Pass
Every local lake I've been to is posted no swimming. My guess is no diving either.
No overnight camping
not that i can think of... there may be some hills near the eastern edge of the lake, but they'd lead into... traffic...?!?
How do you get to the playground?
No but neither is swimming but people do so id say goodluck 😂
No
In the summer, there is reliably a company renting kayaks by the south boat ramp.
2-3 miles, overall trail is much longer
