Are the picnic sites first come first serve or reservation only?

First come gets their choice I believe.

You can reserve certain spots, but most are first come.

First come, first serve; unless you call the parks department and ask to reserve a specific area on a specific date and time, say for a wedding or other large type gathering. Im not sure if they do it anymore, but it used to be a $50 deposit to reserve a specific area.
