The grooming here is so hit or miss. We’ve had a few very well done grooms and some just really bad. Understandable I guess because they are live animals. But this time, the base package price they had me sign for at drop off was adjusted higher at pickup without telling me. They also charged additional fees on top of that because my dog had “difficult” behavior. It ended up being 40% higher price and the groom is really bad. My dog’s face was cut so short, uneven and not at all what was requested or done last time. Nail lengths are all over the place. The body fur is pretty uneven too. My dog looks ridiculous and seems uncomfortable. At least it will grow back out eventually. I would have rather they just stop and call me to come get my dog and try another day. I suspect they were rushing to get my dog done and out of the way - he was ready for pickup way earlier in the day that ever before. It’s tough to get an appt too. It’s so weird because the last time we went, the groom was perfect. I think we are going to try somewhere else. I don’t like surprise charges and the variation from appt to appt.

Please please please stop trying to upsell your patients. It could not be more obvious that you are there to run a business and make as much money as possible. One doctor neglected the abscessed tooth my dog had that left an opening under her eye. He wanted to do a teeth cleaning and said that he could possibly close up the hole in her face while she was under anesthesia. A different veterinarian told me that my seven year old younger dog had a heart murmur and we need to run some scans. After questioning him for sometime about how they could missed this murmur the last six years, he decided that maybe he didn’t have a heart murmur. I know that there are a few very good doctors in this practice but sadly, only a few.

This emergency vet is amazing! I thought my cat had been hit by a car, as he was in bad pain and couldn't walk. I called 8+ vet offices prior and was turned away. I called Long crying and upset and they told me to bring him in. They got him back within 10 minutes. After that, the wait was long, but they also have staffing issues. I don't mind waiting if the care is superb... and it was! They sedated him, shaved his leg and cleaned it, then realized he had been bitten twice by something. They gave him antibiotics, steroids and pain meds. They assured me he would be ok. It took 4 and a half hours. Be patient with them. They're wonderful! Even better, the total bill was half of what I thought it would be.

Long's needs to tighten up. They have dropped the ball over the past few years. At least get a voicemail.
