We booked a room here, and it turned out to be a disaster. The room was not clean! There was a nasty stain and dead flies in the bed, and the bathtub was dirty. Went to the front desk to ask for a different king room. Received a double room that appeared already occupied! We did not stay. I do not recommend this Red Roof to anyone. Stay across the street.

Booked for four nights, could only stand it for one. First of all, the room stank. It REALLY STANK. It smelled like a combination of mildew, stale beer, and old cigarettes (I'm guessing the room did time as a smoking room before it was non-smoking). I had to keep my suitcase closed because I was afraid the smell would get into my clothes. It was THAT bad. The floor was FILTHY. I couldn't walk on it in bare feet or white socks without both turning black. Just vile. The bathroom only had one threadbare towel that was the size of a dinner napkin. No face towels, no washcloths. Bathroom also had a lot of unrepaired water damage. It smelled as bad as the room did. The furniture had broken drawer handles and was pretty beat up. When I sat on the bed, it made a weird crunching/rustling sound. I pushed the mattress back to discover that they never bothered to take the shipping plastic off the box spring. The exhaust fan in the neighboring room was so loud and squeaky that I had a hard time falling asleep. And they ran it for about five hours. After-hours staff was rude. I called to get the WiFi password (or what passes for WiFi at this location) and the clerk couldn't have been less interested in helping me, telling me pretty abruptly that it was on my key envelope. Fine, but the attitude was uncalled for. He hung up on me without so much as a "you're welcome." And this was supposed to be an "upgraded" location! What on earth was it like before the upgrades? What, specifically, was upgraded? I know you get what you pay for, but really! At least the air conditioning worked. I checked out after one night and went across the street to the Courtyard Marriott. Much happier there.

I reserved my room on line. When I arrived to took 30 minutes to get checked in. When I got my room key I walked up the stairs all I could snarl was urine. When I opened the room door, the smell only got stronger, I took two steps in the room and was overpowered by the same smell along with cigarette smoke. It was a nine smoking room. The comforter was cover in cigarette burn holes! I turned around, walked out, and went to get a refund! I would have taken pics of the comforter but the smell was too much to take.

Having to step over syringes to get to our hotel door should have been a clear sign for us to just turn around and leave. There were holes in the walls filled with little pieces of paper. The electrical was a mess! The toilet seat and toilet paper holder were broken. The bed was hard and the pillows were flat. Constant noise throughout the night and morning of other guests pounding on doors, yelling, screaming at others. Spend the extra cash to stay somewhere nicer, you will not regret it.
