Re mooring... You have to be within the mooring field as shown on navigation chart. Charts are available at West Marine.

There is a Hilton Garden Inn and Courtyard Marriott directly next door. Due to the traffic pattern, it takes longer to get there via the courtesy shuttle. They are 100' down the sidewalk.
Yes, you can fish from the parking lot using a casting rig, but you can not park a vehicle in the parking, it will be towed or booted.
Yes, they have ethanol free gas and diesel
