This was my childhood spot. I learned so many things and developed lifelong friendships here. The baseball field is where we learned sportsmanship and how to stand up for our friends. The Pool is where I learned to swim and won medals on the swim team (yes, black people swim 🤣🤣). But the Parkhouse is where we learned discipline, creativity, and camaraderie. The community mainstays were Ms Freddie, Brenda, and Coach T aka T-Bone. This was the "school" for our neighborhood, East Oak Forest and West Oak Forest aka The E.W.F.

Definitely would recommend coming to check this fun little park out! Not as crowed as some parks and a little southern charleston charm makes it worth the drive!
