Went as a guided tour with my former pastor, I did not attend service. Current the establishment is under renovation on one side so not all was visible to view. This is definitely a historic staple to both Charleston and Christianity. May this sanctuary never faulter from the true gospel and I pretty Charleston never forgets or allows it's roots to get pulled up.

The first Baptist church is a name often used for this theological camp for churches that were not actually the first of their kind, but for some reason, when you look at the large wooden doors and history painted on the us church, you really feel like it is the very first baptist church. Stop by or stop in for an awesome environment.

Good afternoon, Marilyn, We have a parking lot that can accommodate approximately 50 -60 cars. Parking attendants will be assisting as well. There is also metered parking on Broad Street a few blocks away and parking along The Battery and White Point Gardens which is within walking distance in the event our lot is full. - FBC Staff
