Was referred to Shane Hough by a friend in the neighborhood that had done work for his kitchen. He was very quick to respond to me and to come to my house to look at the scope of the project. He had suggested we meet at a stone store in Charlotte, Cosmos, to look at various stones. I agreed to drive up there and meet him on a weekend day. When I drove up there, Shane was not there, nor did he show up. Of course my initial response was anger that I drove all the way up there and was stood up. However, there was another couple there as well, and when they heard I was waiting for Shane, they ranted and raved about him. Then with the employees at Cosmos heard I was waiting for Shane, they were genuinely concerned that something had happened to him. Well, it turned out that he was unexpectedly in the hospital. He called me from the hospital to apologize and straighten everything out. I ended up wanting a stone from a vendor they didn’t work with typically, and he went the extra mile to get what I wanted. Installation had a minor hiccup where the template for the fireplace was not obtained correctly (not Shane’s fault), but the installers were able to correct it on the fly and get everything done. Overall, I am happy with my experience, but I told Shane that I would only work with him. Granite Depot is a big company, so I cannot or will not speak for the entire company, but I am rating Shane as a 5 star.

Granite Depot installed my countertops today! The installers were very nice and professional. The salesperson, Shane Hough, was great. Super friendly. The time I picked out the granite and had the counters measured to I install was a little over two weeks. Very impressed. My sister had recommended them after her good experience.

Shane was great to work with. We picked out our granite, sent in the measurements. The next week they came out and made the template. A week later installed. Looks great. I recommend Shane and his team. Great service, great price and great people to work with.

This company will reel you in with competitive pricing, and then once paid, play the switch and bait game. I selected a piece of granite, paid in full and was notified the day before install, that the granite was on back order with no projected timeframe for it to be available. I had painting, plumbing, etc scheduled around this counter install so it wasn’t a comfortable position I found myself to be in. I was told they could install something similar, but I wasn’t going to accept that. I went in person to select something else, and we see where this could quickly turn into a forced upgrade. We agreed on a slab that was my second option. However, when the crew arrived to install, I just wasn’t certain what they brought. It appeared very different. To make matters worse, the install crew damaged my cabinet, dented the wall, installed the wrong size sink (was suppose to be (60/40) I got (50/50). And the mess they left was ridiculous. The sink is so deep, plumbers cost was more expensive because they had to move the pipe down. When I contacted the office to report the wrong sink and damage (I have before and after pictures, confronted crew when I saw the damage, and they ran out without accepting the responsibility) the office did NOTHING. Argued about telling me about the sink, which they never did and have not heard anything from them since. If that is not enough, you be the judge from these pictures if this is what you would want in your home. It appears these pieces are from different slabs. These are all "the same granite" - looks HORRIBLE. I am also awaiting the determination if the granite installed is the actual agreed upon granite. They may be in for a more interesting form of communication if they switched that on me, too. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this Granite Depot.

Yes it is common it's actually good cause it's a small seam instead of having a long seam
