The worst campground policies! We were booked for a camp sight just after IAN hurricane hit and so I called to cancel our reservations because all the cleanup would still be going on. They still are charging me the $75 cancellation penalty. For what? It's just a spot marked with a number and called a camp spot. Literally nothing else is involved if cancelled. Wow, be careful because once they get your money not even a hurricane will be able to get it back from there greedy grips.

Terrible customer service if I could give them 5 (- Star) I would, heartless people we just went thur one of the worst hurricane to hit Florida, I was booked to stay this month and unfortunately had to cancel due to a family member losing their home in the storm and this heartless company had the audacity to charge a cancellation fee. That’s just fine $25.00 just cost them a future customer.

Nice place and decent lots.

There is no limit. However, after the 5th person, you have to pay $3 per person per day.
Yes, that shouldnt be a problem. Plenty of people bring tents with them!
Bring a boatload of cash for rental. Weekly rental more than my monthly car payment.
All motorcycles must be parked at the main office parking lot. No motorcycles allowed inside gates of campground. Usually not a problem for motorcyclist due to renting a golf cart for transportation while in the park. Just arrive before 5 pm because golf cart rental office closes at this time. There is a secure place for motorcycle parking so fear of it being stolen or damaged is almost obsolete. Security guard always on duty at the gate near parking area. Safest place to stay in Myrtle Beach! Been going to this campground for over 20 years. Just gets better every year with all the improvements. Peaceful family resort.
Its a nice crowed around octomber not too many people...and im not sure about kids activities....you will have to call the camp ground
Just depends on what kind of shops you're looking for. Theres a little store within the campground that you can find just about anything you would need for a beach vacation. Theres also a gas station, large beachwear store and great sandwich shop directly across the street from the campground.
You can see the pier, but for me a 65 year old, I couldn't walk to it. I got as far as State Park.
Very easy to navigate this campground in a 40 pusher. Pay attention to the covered shelter though when backing in.
Yes, for two people it was $8 each and four was $5 each
No
Lots of fish. Many different kinds.
We have park model trailers and mobile homes for rent. Here's a link for more info on the different types of vacation rentals we have - http://www.pirateland.com/vacation-rentals
You can drive your obnoxiously loud pickup to your site but no bikes. The weekly golf cart rental is higher than my monthly car payment. (TRY LAKEWOOD)
They can come but they may not disturb other people as to bark Abnoxiously or attack / bite people staying there
i
They do have year round sites, they vary in price by size and season
Yes. They have cable. It has enough channels for us. We don't spend alot of time watching tv when we are there. The WIFI is sketchy.
You have to rent one of their carts if you don't have a permanent residence there. Plus everything there is electric
No they didn't go "down" , things are changing like everything else in the Area however it will continue to be Pirateland Campground as it has for over 50 years. That's a fact
You have to call the office for pricing but it's,s not a problem
They opened 4/9/22
I stayed there for 2 weeks, very clean, people were so friendly.
I am paying 3 month rate, at 600 a month. But do call. Lots of people stay I know 6mnths and then they have the permanent spots. We have really enjoyed our stay. We also have a covered picnic table I guess 10x10 enclosed it with tarps and is my outside kitchen so nice having extra space, people decorate looks great. Lots of fun.
Just call pirateland and make revations
Has pots and pans you need sheets towels pillows lawn chairs
Yes they are. Go to website then click lodging then places for sale
What is passport of american? And what is there to participate in?
Personal golf carts are only allowed on annual lease sites; they are not allowed on campsites or rentals. There is an onsite rental office through Graham's Golf Cars
There are long term rentals, but this place get major crowded. Rent early or know someone!
Yea, they have campsights RV's book ahead!
We used a propane fire pit.
You'd have to contact the office
Not sure. PirateLand.com
It was open last October when we was there but closes later I believe.
My understanding is cabins are rented for a full week at a time. Weekend only isnt an option if you book online. There may be an option if you call the office directly
Very reasonable for beachside camping and tons of amenities. 5 nights rv site was about $460
No but in surfside just a few miles away there is a car wash that Rvs can fit in. Saw 1 pulling out of there 1 day & I didn't see any signs about no RVS
All the sites are equipped for RVs but you may camp in a tent. Visit our website or call the office to check rates and availability. 1-800-443-2267
Their rates are really reasonable already, but it can't hurt to call and ask. Everyone I've talked to there has been super friendly and helpful.
Yes
You can fly a small kite, but not a stunt kite until a little after 5.
Yes they are allowed. Call them for available locations
Call the Pirateland office. When I went I only saw one tent to a site but that could have been all the people were going to put there.
Call the camp ground office. They may rent some and there maybe some rentals by private owners they may know of as well
If you own a camper you can store it there and they will set it up at a site whenever you request. But I am not aware of them renting campers. Call their office and inquire.
2 p.m., but if your site is available they may let you in early
Usually around Easter. They are all open for the season
It is posted to use liquid.
You may check rates and availability on our website http://search.guestdesk.com/reservations/Pirateland/ Or by calling 1-800-443-2267 The price the previous person quoted is the base rate for a beach area site. Doesn't look like any oceanfront are available.
Can you please clarify what you mean?
You may check availability by calling 1-800-443-2267

Only on certain campsites. You'll need to call and check which ones you can.
Last year this time it was around 40 a night
We do not allow motorcycles to ride in to the campground under power. There is a designated parking area up front, or some people choose to tow them to their site. You may have an enclosed/open trailer on your campsite if it fits within the perimeter of the site or you may park it in the overflow lot at the front entrance.
Here is the campfire policy - CAMPFIRES We do not allow open wood burning campfires in any areas of the campground from at least April 1 to November 30. During any time of the year you may have a portable fire pit as long as it is at least 6" above the ground and has a screen, cover, or chimney, and you may only burn duralogs, starter logs, or charcoal. We DO NOT ALLOW real wood to be brought in to the campground. PLEASE NOTE: If Horry County is under a burn ban you may not burn anything!
The horseback riding is not a Pirateland specific activity. It's controlled by the state. The season runs from November 1st to February 28th.
Me too I think it's something around 12 x 12
Currently all pools are open. The indoor pool is heated and will be open all year. The splash pool is scheduled to close this year around Nov. 4th weather permitting. The other outdoor pool and lazy river will depend on the weather!
Yes bath house is really close. It's been remodeled and very nice!
Checkout is 11am. Campsite checking is 2pm and rental check in is 4pm
They are open now
Not likely but you will have to call to know for sure.
There is no flooding.
Yes
Absolutely!!! We made a run for ours in our site. Make sure they are on a leash.
Our last trip we were under a huge tree. It was wonderful and no water build-up from the rain. Campsites are TOO close together. Nowhere to park a car or move around. fifth wheel behind us was literally at our slide outs.
For golf cart rental for a week it was just a little over $300 doller and we decided to stay another day and only had to pay $50 more dollers .
Yes they do, great for the adults while the kids play in the pool. They are all together. ......
Last week paddle boat hours were 2:00-7:30 as of June 29th 2018
Yes,but some things are closed out of season, different prices out of season, lot higher in summer months
Yes except golf carts, you have to rent them. You can't take your own
Old enough to hold a driver's license in your home stste.
They allow one vehicle and one camping unit per site. Depending on the site and size of your camper you may or may not have room for a 2nd vehicle. And there's a $5 nightly charge for a 2nd vehicle.
The indoor pool and hot tub close at 10pm. Currently the outdoor pool closes at dusk
Yes there is no problem with bringing Stan Electric scooter. I had one when I went there a few weeks ago.
Dogs are fine as long as they don't bark loud. They really don't advertise how long far as limits are concerned. I can say they are the most expensive. Ocean Lakes is cheaper. And i believe Lakewood is also cheaper as well.
Can't take your personal golf cart, unless you own a permanent lot. Pirateland does offer golf cart rentals. Yes, pets are allowed and must be kept on a leash.
Yes
No, they are just ponds. Fishing and ducks.
There are currently four or five permanent sites available for placement of approved park model homes. I am not sure but they may be posted on the website's park map.
Our group had a boxer. No problem. Yes
They only rent out their permanent houses they don't have campers for rent. May i also recommend Ocean Lakes camp ground they offer more there for less money. I have stayed at every camp ground at Myrtle and they are one of the best
People there are so friendly, I'm sure a neighbor would help you. Also tractors move trailers in and out of storage year round. I'm sure they would help out if you're in need of help!
Only permanent sites have personal golf carts! You can rent one on-site though! Weekly rate is cheaper than daily. You can call to inquire about rates.
