I've dealt with DMVs in several states. The Mount Airy office is like any other understaffed and overworked. However, they are friendly and courteous and try to help you. I would suggest going there. And watch out my son just got his license!

I don't think so currently because of the covid, but I would call to be sure. This office has really friendly and very helpful officers, and not as budy as larger cities

You will want to go online or call and make an appointment. The Dmv isn't doing the driving test so they will give you a waiver. If you are getting a permit will be a test and no driving part, for license it will just be a waiver an show your hours and all that
2 Proof's of address, (mail with your name and address on it) birth certificate, social security card

There isn't a "military stamp", but we can put the veteran status if you bring your DD214 papers.
